SotD: In the Wilderness (Orsal judging)

This thread is for the wilderness group in the game Slaves of the Dragon, which is currently investigating a "hollow" watchtower.

Liberitas scales the tower, it's tiny form hardly visible. The crystal reaches the top without any problems. Scanning the roof, if sees nothing out of the ordinary, except for a small bird nesting in a corner.

:My Thanks, Liberitas: Veras-Re mentally orders the psi-crystal to do a simple search (Search +2)of the area and to give the nest of the bird a wide berth, in case the bird is territorial.

He turns to the party and relays what the construct saw. "The bird's nest might hold something of value or some information, though it is unlikely. Also, I suspect that some of you might be adverse to the disturbance of this avian."

Go right ahead unless it look like a bird of prey. We don't need to have a falcon or eagle flinging your crystal around the tower.

"Well if there's nothing here, lets keep going," says Planus while tapping his foot.

Liberitas searches the roof throughoutly, staying clear of the bird for now, but has nothing to report except that the bird cocks its head in curiosity everytime the crystal is in sight.

Veras-Re orders Liberitas to investigate the bird's nest, scaring away the bird if need be (Intimidate +0). He hopes that the stone's hardness will be sufficient to protect it from the bird's talons.

On the likely event that Liberitas finds nothing, he recalls the psicrystal and makes preparations to move on with the rest of the group.

Liberitas stalks towards the bird's nest, and the bird just stares at the crystal. Only as it comes within reach does the bird hack at it, but does no damage. Liberitas then attempts to shoo the bird away, and succeeds. The bird's nest only holds three eggs.

Not having found anything of value, Liberitas returns to its master, as everyone watches the bird returning to its nest.

"Come on, can we go now?" In Elven, he adds,
"Its a freakin' bird!"
Veras-Re nods. :Good job, Liberitas:

He summons the psi-crystal to his side, places it back atop the walking stick. "Let us go"
