The ENnies are a great way to reflect over the past year and think about all of the cool products that have come out for us to use.

I thought in the same spirit we might think back over the past year to recall the RPG/D&D/D20 news highlights. What were the big stories -- good or bad -- over the past 12 months?

To get things rolling in my memory, I had the boards show me the last year's worth of posts in General, and then sorted them by number of views. So far I'm seeing things like...

EN World Server Drive
two World's Largest Dungeon threads
Castles & Crusades Q&A thread
New Dungeon Mag format
Dungeon/Wil Save threads
"Is the RPG Industry on Life Support?"
RPG Designers and their blogs (should they/shouldn't they talk politics?)
MMIII Errors
the recent rules "lite" discussions
Lots of 4th Edition threads

Others that come to mind:
Mongoose/Conan plagiarized map situation
D&D for Dummies

Five letters:

DTRPG

Wow, has it only been a year? That blows me away, I feel like it's been longer.

In particular, the DRM situation, and then their Watermarking solution, is particularly noteworthy if that all happened in the past 12 months...

A couple more as I scour other forums:

True 20 separated from Blue Rose
Announcement of Mutants & Masterminds 2nd edition

While not d20 related -
the recent White Wolf debacle about play and pay.

The Iron Heroes announcement seemed to spark a lot of thought and comment. As did the the release of Arcana Evolved (was Monte being as tight as WOTC for releasing another edition so soon after the first).

World's Largest Dungeon release.

Lemme see... I guess it peaked just over a year ago. My post about there being a 6 computer limit, which they were denying, is dated 6/8/04
