.... or anyone else who has the button in their sig that shows or hides text from another pot in a different thread.

Could you let me know how that's done? I would like to do the same thing on a different board that uses VBulletin for a PBP game.

I'm assuming that its controlled with HTML code? Could you post that code, if that is, in fact, the way its done?

Keep in mind you're still limited by 1000 characters in your sig (Mine got too big still so I had to use the sig thread

I prefer sblock, but spoiler is good for small sections of text.

For bigger pieces of text, sblocks take less space. Big sigs can be annoying.

I'm also using sblocks in my PbP game to hide number crunching. So if you care what your character rolled on that missed attack or exactly how many points of damage you did, you can check, but if you just want to read what actually happened, you can.
