I gave to you all that I am

But I was trapped by my own passion

This was not my fantasy
What happened to my Happy Ever After?
But now I know better

Coexistence

Where once was one,
-Now there's two
Two halves of me to struggle
Two halves to wage war

The one, The Dark Half
-A deceitful king
A murderous, ruthless man
-with no remorse
Taking the good with the bad
-and making it worse
Shredded sanity and a twisted soul
-and in his heart a vacuous hole
A clenched fist to crush innocence

The other, Shadow-Killer
-A silver-tongued angel
A gentle, giving man
-with no regrets
Taking the bad with the good
-and finding an opportunity for excellence
A paragon of intelligence and purity
-and in his heart complete surety
An open hand to the whole of Man

Where there are two
-there should be one
Two halves that are strangers
Two halves have I become.
