Riddles

Robert sneers at the riddle. The answer in his head, but he finds it rather... unfitting to his tastes to answer.

Rather, he thinks of another riddle.

"I get wetter the more I dry. What am I?"

Gene sighs, leaving a response to the man's note.

"Not the most subtle, are you? Tsk. But...I...believe the answer is blade."

The note is signed "Gene" is Celestial...he seemingly picks a new language for each time he signs his name.

Good sirs, the answer is neither distasteful nor "a blade".
Keep trying! I'm sure you'll eventually come up with an answer that fits. A hint: in modern days it's usually smaller and kept in more hidden places than "hanging by a man's thigh."

Ah, and the answer to Drindin's : "a towel"?

I know this is wrong, but could the answer be a Belt? (to Varn)

"Following the trading wagonband of thought...coinbag, pouch, or purse?

I've most recently added this answer...but...is it key?"

Thanks, Drindin!

Apologies to the lovely ladies, Bhryn and Lyrana, but the gentleman Gene has the right answer to what might be hanging under a coat or cloak and fits in a oft-used hole: A key.

(Interesting that his answer signed in Celestial was wrong, but his answer signed in Abyssal was right... seems he needed to be in the proper mood? :D )

So have I killed this thread? let's try some milder ones:

The first:

What is a gentle slave to firm masters
Who mind its measure and feed it fairly
With a careful hand? To these it brings
Warm blessings, to those who let it run
Wild it brings a grim reward.

The second:

When one does not know what it is, then it is something; but when one knows what it is, then it is nothing.

The third:

Hundreds of heads but just one eye,
Two arms, two legs as it walked by,
Into the marketplace it came
And I ask you to give its name.
