*Michael Corin-Sorria, or Jet as many call him, slowly edges his sporty blue, yet fairly subtle vehicle around the corner and into the alleyway that serves as a back access for the businesses and community in this small corner plaza. With a frown, he suppresses the urge to test his acceleration on the short strip for fear of a kid around the slight corner and slowly pulls into the farthest spot. Grabbing his briefcase from the passenger’s seat and stepping out, he carefully extends the metal screen that will protect his car and those in the adjacent spots from the numerous balls later in the day. He then proceeds to a graffiti marred metal door with a small plaque next to it identifying the door as the Blast Zone’s rear entrance. As Jet fiddles with his keys, he takes a moment to examine the artwork…*
. o O ( Hmm… tones are a shade light and the lines are running together, but not bad. Wouldn’t have that if she’d work in daylight…)
*Removing a scrap of masking tape, he opens the door and steps into the back area of The Blast Zone. After a look around, he turns and sets the security system to day mode. Glancing at the time on the display, he realizes it’s already a quarter past and hurries down the narrow right hall. Passing through the open bridge of the counter, he drops his case off by the register and continues on to the front door. As he reaches the door, he places his hands on the handle and lock for a moment as he scans the displays and front window. A click with of a bolt system and a flip of switch to turn the display to the right of the door to open mode signal the start of the day.
With that done, he pops a small storage area under one of the displays open and removes some cleaning materials. Opening the door and leaning out, he easily removes some vandalism on the window with columns of novelty signs, particularly concentrated over signs along the lines of “aliens welcome”. Heading back inside and replacing the supplies, he proceeds to condition a few shelves as he waits for customers.*
