The story is introduced by key anchor Diane Hunt,
"Near tragedy struck the local art world Sunday, when blind sculptress Orlarine Tagert was attacked in her studio apartment. Bethany Daniels has details."

Perky field reporter Bethany Daniels is shown, standing outside of the ASPCA's emergency veterinary hospital.
"Thank you, Diane. The story seemed to have ended five years ago."
The scene shifts, showing an old news clip of Bethany speaking with a pretty, dark haired woman, who is wearing mirrored sunglasses and standing with a large dog, which appears to be a Husky - German Shepard mix. The blurb "Woman's Best Friend," is across the top. Bethany's voice is heard over the scene, "When the heroic guide dog, Fenrir, rescued Orlarine Tagert from her assailant, Jason Stevens. Her attacker was jailed, but, not before making a dire promise."
The scene changes once again, to show the inside of a court room, where a man is being held back by baliffs, while Orlarine holds back a growling Fenrir. The man is shouting, "I'll kill you! You and that *censored* dog!"
Once again, Bethany is shown outside of the veterinary hospital, "A promise he intended to keep. Two weeks ago, Stevens was released on parole. Once out, he met with Gregory Harrison, the brother of his cell mate, Robert Harrison. Gregory Harrison procured arms for himself and Stevens. The pair arrived at Tagert's apartment on Sunday afternoon, where they shot Tagert and Fenrir, before being stopped by Tagert's neighbor, Dr. Kallin Tabara. During the struggle, both Harrison and Stevens were fatally wounded.
"Tagert's location has not been disclosed, though her condition is stable. Fortunately for her heroic dog, Dr. Tabara is a veterinarian here at the ASPCA's emergency veterinary hospital, where he brought Fenrir for treatment once paramedics arrived for Tagert."

Bethany turns, and the camera pans to show a tall, well muscled man, with a clean shaven head and a well tanned complexion, wearing the traditional white doctor's coat. She addresses the man, "Dr. Tabara, what is Fenrir's condition?"
The big vet smiles, looking down at the petite reporter, "He's doing fine. Luckily for him, none of his major organs were severly damaged."
"Can you tell us what happened?"
"I heard gun shots, and went to take a look."
"Weren't you concerned for your own safety?"
Before Dr. Tabara can answer, one of the ASPCA's trucks arrives, and the special agent hops out, shouting for the doctor's attention. "Excuse me," Dr. Tabara nods to Bethany, then moves to help the special agent with the wounded Irish Wolf Hound being unloaded. The camera zooms in on the big man lifting the huge dog easily.
"That's all for now," Bethany's voice says, "Back to you, Diane."
"Thank you, Bethany. On another matter, don't put those winter coats away just yet. . ."

Conflicting Headlines

Diane Hunt reports on K Eye View's evening news.
"A fight broke out at the New York State Penitentiary on Monday afternoon. The riot was quickly contained, however, several inmates were hospitalized. Among those injured was Robert Harrison, who is currently in a comatose state. Other injuries were less severe."

Globe Monthly has a different story.
Mutants Among Us!
An anonymous source informs Globe reporter Dale Turner that the recent riot at New York State Penitentiary was a sham.
"It's a cover up," he claims. "Robert, Greg and Jason, they knew the truth. There're mutants out there, and they're being hidden by the government. Greg and Jason went to take out a mutant freak, and now they're dead. Robert was pretty verbal about his hatred of mutants, and now he's in a coma, after a visit from a suit. I know that guy was a fed."
Robert Harrison, incarcerated for assualting his autistic neighbor, Steven Barnes, had been the cell mate of Jason Stevens, who had been serving time for the attempted murder of his former girlfriend, Orlarine Tagert. Stevens and Harrison's brother Gregory were recently shot and killed during another attempt to kill Tagert.
"Autism, deformity, it's all a cover," the source says, "They were mutants. Those guys are heroes."

Woman Saves Man's Life

Jack Burlett, an ex FBI agent has been gravely wounded in an odd series of events. The previous fast food worker, who worked at McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's, had been at the club when he and a friend were attacked by a man he called "Dr. Kinetix". He is deemed a dangerous man, but how dangerous? Recently it was released that Jack Burlett is a wanted criminal. Currently, the government has labeled him as a murderer and a spy. Charges are: first degree murder on several accounts, selling information to several rebellious groups plotting against the government, and a few minor cases of physical abuse to children.

He is staying at a hospital that few know about and it is urged to everyone that you do not try and seek him out, as he is still staying at a local hospital due to serious injuries. Tight security has been placed around his room and the few that are able to visit will be closely watched.

Apparently, Jack tried to play the part of a hero as his friend that will be referred to as "M", was taken hostage by Dr. Kinetix. Chasing the Dr. outside, Jack managed to "leap onto the transport and get inside through a window". As he did, he somehow managed to talk to the Dr. and they were then locked into the cockpit of the transport which was ejected from the main bulk of the transport. As Jack saw it skyrocket upwards, he feared that he and M would come crashing down, the explosion incinerating both of them. Taking hold of M, he leaped out of the window of the transport, at around thirty-five feet in the air. As they neared the ground, one of the other's trying to help M, saved Jack and the female from the fall. Jack only suffered two cracked ribs.

Shortly after the injury, Jack claimed he'd be alright and left the hospital to rest and heal. He did not follow the doctor's orders on staying inside his house and was at the club, hanging out with his friends once again. He went outside, "to think" says Jack. He was twirling a knife in his hands and suddenly a jolt of pain from his ribs ran through his chest. Jack Burlett fell upon the knife, which gouged a significant wound. It bled profusely and he lost most sense of where he was and what was happening to him. The ribs were cracked much more than before and Orlarine, another currently injured person, was the one who saved Jack's life.

Strolling out from the club, she caught site of Jack and hurried to call 911, while staying near Jack's side. He was rushed to the hospital via an ambulance along with Orlarine, who stayed with Jack until he reached consciousness. Shortly after she left, the government released a series of posts online and in the newspapers about Jack being a criminal. The hospital informed a local police station, which then took matters into their own hands.

Jack Burlett is considered to be a very dangerous man that is not afraid to kill any who make him mad.

Wedding of the Century.

Never before has such an event caused so much stir, as the long awaited union between Leandra Zypherine and James Wagner.

The event was left open to the media, and this reporter was shocked by those who were in attendance, and even the event itself. The guest list read more like an article of who is who and well-wishers spanned a global range.

But even more impressive than the lift of guests, was the ceremony in and of itself.

Paris set the stage for what many are calling the Wedding of the Century, the city of love home to this event.

It was here, that the couple managed to host their ceremony within the venerated and hallowed halls of Notre Dame Cathedral. No one is certain how such a feat was managed, but the sheer magnificence and splendor of the building lent itself to the air of romance and majesty to the event.

The décor was sparse, the soft glow of white candles reflecting upon pale rose petals were the only adornments, but these were well suited to the couples union.

While the entire assembly was a very of fashion, it was Leandra who stole the focus when she finally arrived to the waiting guests.

Old Hollywood glamour and elegance graced the bride, a whisper of soft silks to the tailored gown. The gown was simple in style, but trailed with an easy grace that was stunning, the falls of a Grecian styled dress brushing over bridal slippers. White silks and a bit of gold braid trim were offset by an old fashioned veil and the smallest sprigs of lilies and jasmine blooms.

The pair exchanged their personal vows, and indeed it was decided that the bride would be taking on the last name of her now husband, the now James and Leandra Wagner.

The celebration afterwards was drawn along the riverbanks and boat, the entire evening one of splendid elegance that this reporter can not even begin to imagine what such an event would cost all told.

The newlyweds departed soon after, leaving on their honeymoon.

Tsunao-Narcassan Incorporated, Unveiled!

Tsunao-Narcassan Incorporated, Unveiled!

New York, New York, US

London Halcyon

Today, scientists Dr. Adum Narcassan and Dr. Hideyoshi Tsunao publicly announce the opening of Tsunao-Narcassan Incorporated. Both avid geneticists and researchers, they have been extensively studying the human genome for twenty-six years beneath one Dr. Leland Banks of Genomere, founded nearly thirty years ago.

During an interview with both Narcassan and Tsunao, it was determined what exactly Tsunao-Narcassan Inc. would mean for humankind. Studying cloning technology for years beneath Genomere, they have perfected a means of recreating the damaged tissue of any one individual, lowering the risk of rejection when organs are transplanted, and virtually eliminating any risk of recurring infection.

In other words, this is a large leap! Unfortunately, the only drawback of using the services provided by Narcassan and Tsunao is the price tag on utilizing their services. But, Narcassan promises there "will be a day, in the near future, when we have perfected this concept enough to cut back our own costs". If this is true, then no one will have to worry about organ failure. It's something to think about, certainly.
