Babette continues to draw Drezel's attention with her dagger.
Drezel finds an opening and lunges low to sink his teeth into Gideon's thigh.
Metrius continues to run toward the combat.
Tor hesitates, waiting for Gideon to provide a better opportunity.
Gideon shrugs off Drezel's bite and tries to grab the wererat but it just manages to avoid the warrior's grasp.
Seeing his associate fail to corral the beast, Tor finally unleashes his strike, but misses wildly.
Fimble and Babette both try to use their weapons to distract Drezel. Fimble isn't successful, but Babette manages to draw his attention once more.

Gideon's melee touch attack = 15 with flanking, which just misses. If Babette had assigned her aid another bonus to him instead of Tor, it would've succeeded.

"Listen! Help Gideon grab him, then help Tor hit him!" Fimble tries to do just that, but his silvered dagger does not herd Drezel into the waiting arms of Gideon.
OOC: What's Metrius doing? We may need his healing down here.
Can we try to get Drezel pinned by Gideon so his AC drops, and then have Tor beat him down? Fimble can only aid another, now. Unless somebody has a better idea, he'll aid Gideon until Drezel is pinned, then he'll aid Tor until Drezel is dead. ::hopes fervently::

Even if Tor manages to grab the wererat and deny it a dex bonus, Tor's next swing probably won't penetrate it's natural armor.

Drezel spins around and snaps out at Tor, but the big man steps back and avoids the strike.
Metrius closes on the battle, mace in hand.
Gideon reaches out to grapple the wererat once more, this time managing to get ahold of Drezel's arm. The weregnome twists & turns, but is unable to free himself from Gideon's grasp.
Tor takes advantage of his suddenly immobile foe to strike out with his sword, but Drezel's armor manages to turn the blade aside without damage.
Fimble and Babette both try to help Gideon maintain a grip on Drezel, with minimal success.

Tor's next swing is more solid, perhaps enough so that it will hit if the Wererat remains grappled. Tor's Round 32 attack (with flanking) (1d20+8=17, 1d6+2=6)
ooc: Still not hitting double digits on the darn d20 rolls, but I bet a lot of this critters AC is Dex based, which he won't have while grappled.

Gideon's grip on Drezel's arm slips as the wererat twists and turns.
OOC: Opposed Grapple (1d20+8=9). Looks like Drezel will probably escape the grapple on his turn. That being the case, Gideon will try and grapple him again.
Melee touch, grapple check (1d20+4=16, 1d20+8=18) If he is flanking and gets an aid another, that's a 20 on the melee touch.
