If Tor finishes off the rat, he will take a 5' step to the north and fasten his chain back in place, freeing up his hands.

The last rat snaps its jaws at Tor once more, scoring a hit on the big man's arm.

Ignoring the now incapacitated rats, Fimble rushes forward toward his fallen companion. Finding Gideon still breathing he pulls a vial out and prepares to administer it to his friend.

Drezel and Otto continue to slowly close on Tor, hoping the rat keeps him occupied a little longer.

Metrius kneels next to Babette and gently places his hands on her body. Golden light emanates from beneath his palms as he utters a prayer to Ulura and channels healing energy into the sorceress. Her breathing becomes more regular and the bloodflow from her wounds stops, but her eyes remain closed.

Tor slams his chain into the rat once more, taking off more fur and flesh and driving it into the muck, it shudders once and lies still. Tor takes a step forward and begins securing his chain.

Babette is up to -2 hp, but still unconscious. Gideon is down to -3 hp but will receive a clw potion next round so he shouldn't be in any danger.

Fimble McGee, Gnome Illusionist

Fimble pours the potion as carefully as he can down Gideon's throat. His nimble gnomish fingers are steady, even in the stress of the battle. Every drop makes it down Gideon's throat, but Fimble notices that his friend only barely comes to (1d8+1=3). The gnome taps the bottom of the vial, frustrated. "Curse the merchant who sold me this!" He stands up and tosses the bottle to the side. He slips a bolt into his crossbow with lightning speed and points the weapon carelessly at a stunned rat. He pulls the trigger to vent his aggravation. To his surprise and pleasure, the bolt flies directly into the hide of a rat. Again, though, the thick skin slows the bolt a great deal, and the rat takes a small amount of damage (1d20+4=21, 1d6=2).

OOC: I think it's just a move action to administer a potion, right? If so, standard action to attack. If not, or if getting up from a crouch is also a move action, then assume Fimble fires the shot next round. He'll still have a move action left over in that case, so he'll move north, closer to the rats, to finish them off.

Gideon's eyes flutter open, to the sight of Fimble's concerned face. Shakily, he gets to his feet, and nods his thanks to his companion. He moves slowly so as to not aggravate his wounds.

OOC: Gideon is going to be doing move actions only for a bit (so he doesn't drop into the negatives again). His goals are to re-arm himself, and move over towards Babette and Metrius. If he gets back into fighting shape, he'll try to finish off the rats by them.

Tor takes a 5' step to the north while drawing his longbow, and sends an arrow flying into one of the remaining rats.

Longbow Attack (1d20+7=20, 1d8+2=10)

(A -4 penalty will apply if the rats are in melee, but I think that's still a hit. If no Rats are left, Otto gets the arrow... just to test his DR.)

Fimble administers his potion to Gideon. Seeing his companion returned to the realm of the conscious, the gnome rises to his feet and readies his crossbow to finish off the rats.

Gideon fishes his sword out of the muck and water and shakily regains his feet next to Fimble.

Drezel and Otto continue to move in on the companions, Otto lets fly the dagger in his hand at Tor. The blade flies true despite the distance, slicing into the fighter's thigh.

Metrius curses as his first spell fails to fully revive Babette. He quickly utters another prayer, pouring more positive energy into her. This time her eyes flutter open. "Welcome back," the cleric says as he helps the sorceress to her feet.

Tor ignores the attack from Otto and concentrates on taking out the stunned rats before they recover. He fires his bow and buries an arrow deep into the closest one.

My rule is potions of clw are 1d8+3 since you have to have caster level 3 to brew a potion. So Gideon is at 2 hp now. Babette is up to 5 hp.

Tor, 25 damage taken

Tor takes another 5' step to the north.

If Otto is at least 15' away as Tor's turn begins, he will return fire and then stow his bow.Arrow For Otto (1d20+7=15, 1d8+2=6)

If Otto is closer, he will immediately stow his bow and draw the scimitar.

OOC: Since Gideon is in positive hitpoints, he'll attack.

Gideon moves slowly towards the remaining stunned rat and brings his strike down hard, but his recent brush with death has thrown his aim off.

"Ewwww," Babette cries out realizing she's covered head to foot in...muck. She'll then take a double move towards Tor.

Fimble fires his bolt and then moves back, toward Tor, reloading as he does to finish the rat off.

OOC: Fimble has Fast Reload, by the way.
