Legend
astronomy/seasons

Two suns:

A red one close in that has the seasonal cycles tied to its 28 day "year"

A farther off yellow one that has a one year "year" cycle

Two moons:

A white/blue moon that is in synchronous opposite orbit to the red sun, often called the water moon

An iron/rust red moon that goes in an erratic north south cycle.

13 months a year

Each season only lasts a week.

Animals and plants seem to adapt to the cycle and flourish each spring in a fertile abundance and grow quickly.

The double suns lead to long days and very brief nights, depending on how in sync the two suns are.

Legend
Dover info

The dover are a well organized noble race of canid humanoids with a great respect for the order of nature. Within Wildwood they are the dominant humanoid race and can be found throughout most of the continent. Dovers are known for their generosity of spirit and benign tolerance of others as well as their competence at hunting and war. They thrive in the hunter based way of life common throughout Wildwood.

Dover communities are usually led by a scholar king and a huntress queen. The king rules in times of peace while the queen organizes hunts and leads in times of war. The king is a lawgiver and high judge, involved in the day to day affairs of the people. The queen sees to the dover's security and is ready to organize and lead war packs whenever needed.

The dover have a great love for epic poetry and bards are always welcomed by dover tradition. Bards are considered of a social status just beneath royalty and are given respect regardless of their race, as is any that distinguish themselves as poets.

Religiously the dover follow three main religions.

1 Kerala the goddess of hunting and war is worshipped with the queen traditionally ensconced as village high priestess. Hunting is central to the dover way of life and they are ever ready to war upon those that threaten their territory or lives. This earth mother goddess is seen as reflecting that nature is both giving and harshly cruel.

2 Vaaldaru plant goddess of life and the green. The goddess is said to be a massive towering pillar of vegetation within the central Wildwood rising up between two great lakes. Adherents of her faith must journey once in their lives to make direct contact with her, an act which is supposed to alter the adherent's life forever. The largest city within Wildwood, Pindara, has grown around her as Dover from all over the world jouney on pilgrimage to meet their faith obligations. It is said there are great highway paths cutting through the Wildwood forests that all lead to the goddess.

3. Druids. Advisors, nature priests, mystery cult. The truth of the druids is known only within their own circles. Among the dover they act as counsel to royalty, perform rites for the village and villagers, and are keepers of their own secret lore.

A small triangular blaze marks the official border of the Silber Dover village territory.

Legend
Goblin info

The goblins came to the area recently claiming all the lands in the area as goblin territory from ages past. Several cairns and ruins bear goblin marks and support this theory of prior occupation. However when a warmongering faction of the goblins attempted to displace the dover and elves with their hordes this sparked a war which reduced the goblin numbers significantly. Eventually a peace was negotiated with the Scholar King of the Dover mediating boundaries and peace terms. The goblins main village is restricted to the side of the river opposite the dover though individual functional structures such as rock mines were allowed on the dover side.

Since the war a faction of the goblins favoring trade and interaction with their neighbors has been ascendent, though with growing numbers the war faction is said to be growing strong again and clamoring for the enslavement or death of non-goblins.

A number of times goblins have raided into dover territory bringing retributive strikes from the Huntress Queen of the dover who has hunted down such raiders ruthlessly.

The goblins are known for their leathercraft, clothesmaking, rock supplies, and certain magical creations. They are known to trade quarried rock and finished goods to the dover in return for animal hides and certain craft goods the dover are known for.

The goblins worship their own dark gods though rumors say that their sorcerers make pacts with fiendish forces.

The edge of goblin territory is marked by low slashing curved blade marks hacked into trees.

Legend
Elven Info

The elven forest kingdom is said to be filled with both magic and the fey, though not hospitable to outsiders.

The dovers and the elves came into conflict when dover hunting parties first encountered the elves and many were slain by elven archers. The Huntress Queen then took command to prosecute the war. The elves proved to be excellent woodsmen foes, disappearing into the forests quickly after lightning strikes of well placed arrows or magic. Their magical advantages were counterbalanced by the dover's superior individual toughness and melee prowess and the forces were well balanced.

It became revealed that a pack of werewolves had been marauding among the elves and leaving evidence to blame the dover for his victim's death.

The scholar king negotiated a peace and reparations including agreements that the territories of the two peoples would be respected and goodwill hostages of youths from the two communities would be exchanged for fosterage. An alliance was forged that lasts to this day and was called upon when the goblins returned to the lands and started to war upon the two peoples.
