Knife-Throwing Contest: Rules
1. You must use the knives provided. These are masterwork, un-magicked, and evenly balanced in a matched set of ten. Five are used for the contest, five are available for practice throws at the practice set of targets.
2. The targets are 10 feet away, and the range up to and including the target is covered by an anti-magic spell. The thrower will not be in the anti-magic field as long as s/he doesn't cross the throwing line, but no magic is to be used in the throw itself either.
3. There are five targets, one for each throw, set up with one in the center and four around that in a square.
4. Each target has three rings: a 3" bullseye worth 5 points, a 9" inner ring worth 3 points, and an 18" outer ring worth 1 point.
5. Five knives are thrown and the total points of all five together is your score.
((OOC: You first must PM the Magi to tell him/her how skilled your char is by a range of 1-10, where 1 is "sometimes hit the target" and 10 is "usually a bullseye". Then for each throw, roll 2d10 on the dicebot and add your skill. The results are:
03-04 total : miss intended target
05-12 total : outer ring
13-20 total : inner ring
21-30 total : bullseye
You may declare the result yourself ("Wow! what luck! a bullseye!") or wait for the Magi to declare it. Good luck!))
