Surprise Round Begins
The first wolf sees Rowan and charges forward with a growl. Its coat is lightly colored, as best you can tell by magic, and the air seems criper as it moves forward.

Wolf Attack (1d20+9=27, 1d8+6+1d6=16)

Boog's annoyed question is answered by Rowan in the form of a cry of pain, by which Boog guesses that a more in depth reply might have been "the hostile and painfull kind." The tearing teeth inflict a sizable wound, and the blood that spills forth from it freezes as it enters the wolf's mouth.

The growl is the only answer Boog gets, for the moment.
