Sunder: Attack Action or Standard Action?

I'm confused by the wording of the PH on this one. Pg. 136 of the PH says striking a weapon is a melee attack, the exact wording it uses for disarm. However, in the table on page 128, it lists it as a standard action, and put it in an entirely different catagory than disarm.

Striking a weapon is a melee attack. You can make 1 attack to strike a weapon (standard or partial action), or you can make a full attack action to make multiple strikes against a weapon or weapons (full-round action). Sunder simply allows you to strike a weapon without provoking an AoO.

Heh... I agree... about the slowness of the boards anyway. ;)
