Question about water.

Hey peeps,

Got a quick question about water. Do the rules state how much water (in gallons) a 5' cube will hold? I've been looking but I can't find it anywhere. Any help would be welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Pappy

Did you want those in US gallons or Imperial gallons? ;-)
1 US gallon = 0.8327 Imperial gallons.

That's where I was going to go with it.

OH well, Rodrigo to the rescue!

5 feet= 1.524m. Cube that gets you 3.540 cubic metres and a weight of about 3.54 tonnes. Water's heavy.

You may not know the half of it!
1 cubic centimeter = 1 milliliter = 1 gram of water (at 4 degrees C)
Its how the milliliter and gram are actually defined.
Makes things nice and simple.

Greetings…

See what happens when you don't pay attention in math class?

"Oh no! What the heck will I ever need this silly stuff for? I'll never have to use this stuff when I go out into the real world!"

5' square room
Well, first you have to ask yourself, 'How high is the room?'
Let's assume that the room is about 10' high.

So… 5' x 5' x 10' = 250 cubic ft.
Oh, wait… you said a 5' cube… so…

5' x 5' x 5' = 125'

A quick little jump to http://www.convert-me.com...

125 cubic ft = 935 gallons, or 119700 fluid ounces.

So, if your party was thinking of drinking up the flooding room, they better drink quick, and be really thirsty..

… say, didn't someone say that they had a portible hole?

A quick little jump to Measurements Converter: Conversion of Weights and Measures...

For measurement conversion i personally use this unit converter
