The hidden door is now revealed to all. It is small, Lookspring would have to stoop over to fit through and the rest would have to crall. Lookspring found the latch release to be a spot on the door which must be pushed for the door to open, however he also found it is trapped so that it will close on the hand which pushes the release. As it traps the hand it leaves a small space, the width of the wrist, open in the doorway.

As the group gets a hand from one of the corpses they push the door open and the trap springs on the dead hand leaving an opening that they can then force open and jar open with the broken daggers. As you peer into the opening you can see a pile of some type of rocks or something, it is difficult to tell in the dark of the secret opening. It is close enough for Phoenix to reach in and grab handfulls or Lookspring will have to enter to investigate further as his arms are shorter.

Lookspring looks around for a torch or some old rags he can set on fire so that he can see what is inside the hidden door. He says, "I don't like the looks of those lumps. They could be heads! Undead ones with bitey teeth. Or... they could be gigantic nuggets of gold! I better be the one to go in just in case."

Phoenix holds their light source close to the hole. If it doesn't appear too dangerous, she will begin scooping stuff out of the opening so that Lookspring doesn't have to go in...unless the hole goes much deeper after they empty some of the things out...

As Phoenix shines her light into the hidden area she sees nothing to alarm her and as she reaches in to scoop out the pile discovers it is indeed gold nuggets.

Her eyes gleam with a feral intensity as she sees the treasure shining in the light. "Yes!" Phoenix exclaims to Lookspring and the soldiers. "We have hit the mother lode! Now let's get this all bagged up and separated to distribute the weight."

OOC: So it's a fairly shallow hole with nothing but these nuggets in it? Or does a tunnel continue beyond the gold? If there is a tunnel, I think we'd check it out. Otherwise, we would continue down the main tunnel past this room.

ooc: the hole is just a shallow treasure hiding spot and nothing else. The room also is the end of this tunnel.
