Army Rat?

Was there ever a AD&D monster called the Army Rat? I swear that it appeared in some early version of the 1e MM, but I can't find a reference to it. Any stats would be much appreciated, assuming that my mind isn't playing tricks on me.

I didn't find any army rats when indexing all of the 1st and 2nd Edition AD&D monster supplements. Are you maybe thinking of the camprat from Greyhawk Adventures or the muskrat from Monstrous Compendium Volume Two?

This would be a very, very old AD&D book, probably from the late 70s. Maybe I'm just imagining it.

It could've been one of those third-party, not-exactly-D&D supplements, like something from Mayfair games, perhaps.

I don't know, I swear it was a TSR product. I distinctly remember the Army Rat and the Carnivorous Ape; however, this was from when I was a wee lad who just happened to like looking at monster books...
