OOC: Does there appear to be anyone around the pool? Or any traps or defenses?

Also, here's a little summary of the treasure we just got:

Iggy will take his standard spells. He'll have cast one Mnemonic Enhancer to get himself 3 magic missiles, so his spell list looks like this:

Level 0 (4+1 div): detect magic(D), light(x2), message(x2)
Level 1 (4+1 int+1 div): mage armor, color spray, True Strike(D), protection from evil, magic missile(x5)
Level 2 (3+1 int+1 div): detect thoughts(D), invisibility(x2), scorching ray(x2)
Level 3 (2+1 int+1 div): Clairaudience/Clairvoyance(D), Haste(x2), Tongues

If no one wants to wear the chainmail, Charlarn can store that and other extra items in his Handy Haversack. He'll take a potion of cure moderate wounds.

Charlarn looks at his friends, then at the color pool. "We should be prepared for a fight on the other side." The Phyran cleric casts shield of faith on himself, before entering the pool.

Planus takes a potion of cure moderate wounds and the scroll of dismissal. He knocks an arrow to his bow and steps through the portal (unless someone identified traps around it before hand).

Iggy shrugs. "I didn't expect it to be so easy to get through the pool, but I trust that this is the way to go."

Iggy will also cast mage armor, and move to dive in.

As the group enters the swirling pool of color, it begins to move about you faster and faster until you all stand within a blinding vortex of light. Abruptly, the colors fade from around you, and you find yourself standing on solid ground. You are standing on a small peninsula of dirt and rock, and brightly glowing lava fills the low spots all about as if it were seawater. Strips of land meander throughout the landscape, and the scorched landscape shows no hint of vegetation.

Iggy shudders. "I have a bad feeling about this..." he mutters. He looks around. He would like to immediately move to higher ground away from the lava. Did T'Zeran come with them?

Planus looks around, lowering his bow when he sees nothing to shoot. "This keeps getting worse and worse. Sorry, Charlarn. It doesn't look like there's any trees." He follows Iggy up to higher ground. He brightens a bit, "Well, if there's something nasty that needs fighting this ought to be the place."
