Paizo Announces Events Schedule For Origins 2007

Limited Pathfinder™#1 blocks to be run by Mona, Bulmahn, and others

May 24, 2007 (BELLEVUE, Wash.) – Paizo Publishing announced a complete lineup of events for Origins 2007 today. Origins is one of the largest hobby gaming conventions in the U.S. and will be held July 5–8 in Columbus, OH at the Columbus Convention Center.

Paizo's events at the show include seminars, panels, board game tournaments, tabletop sessions, roleplaying blocks GMed by industry veterans, as well as special events planned at Paizo's booth in the dealer hall.

"This summer marks Paizo's fifth year at Origins, which is always a highlight of the convention season," says Erik Mona, Paizo's Publisher. "This year we've got a new line of GameMastery Modules, a new concept in board games in the form of Stonehenge, and a huge 3D dungeon sure to destroy many gamers. I can't wait!"

Paizo plans to run six, two-hour roleplaying blocks to preview the upcoming Pathfinder Adventure Path™, Rise of the Runelords. As an added bonus, sessions will be GMed by Erik Mona, Jason Bulmahn (Managing Editor of Dragon and Paizo's GameMastery Brand Manager), Nicolas Logue (frequent Dungeon contributor and author of the upcoming GameMastery Module D1: Crown of the Kobold King), and Greg A. Vaughan (frequent Dungeon contributor and author of the upcoming Pathfinder #6 Rise of the Runelords: Spires of Xin-Shalast).

Nicolas Logue, Greg A. Vaughan, and Tim Hitchcock (frequent Dungeon and Dragon contributor and co-author of the upcoming GameMastery Module E1: Carnival of Tears) will be available throughout the convention at Paizo's booth to talk about their work on the GameMastery™ and Pathfinder lines.

Paizo is also very excited to announce that they'll be running the first ever Paizo Dungeon Delve at this year's Origins. The Delve will be based on Nicolas Logue's GameMastery Module D1: Crown of the Kobold King and will be run by Jason Bulmahn and Nicolas Logue inside the Paizo booth during dealer hall hours. Players will have fifteen minutes to explore and survive the Kobold King's dungeon and locate as many keys as they can. These keys will be used at each group's Delve conclusion to open a real pirate chest and possibly win prizes.

Paizo also has a healthy schedule of seminars including "What is Paizo's GameMastery Line?" chaired by Erik Mona and Jason Bulmahn, "Stonehenge: What's An Anthology Board Game™?" chaired by Mike Selinker and other Stonehenge creators and designers, "What's New at Paizo Publishing?" chaired by Paizo CEO Lisa Stevens and other Paizo employees, "Writing for Paizo Publishing" chaired by Erik Mona and Jason Bulmahn, "Introducing Pathfinder" chaired by Erik Mona, Nicolas Logue, and Greg A. Vaughan, and "Design a Stonehenge Game!" chaired by Mike Selinker where the crowd and Mike will have exactly one hour to create a new game for Stonehenge to be published online at the Stonehenge Library.

Paizo Publishing and Titanic Games™ will also be sponsoring two Stonehenge tournaments as well as many tabletop Kill Doctor Lucky sessions and will premiere the all-new Kill Doctor Lucky … and His Little Dog Too! rules variants.
