Should the word Dragons in the first post link to the Converting True Dragons thread? That is about True Dragons and the dragon subtype would contain creatures that are not true dragons.

Mind you the first post of the Converting True Dragons actually has more than 25 creatures in it. So if this thread is correct, some of them must be done. Maybe (in this thread) you could list the number of true dragons in brackets after the number of dragons. Then you could have an excuse for a link.

By my count there are now 19 unconverted true dragons, and 7 things which are probably dragons, but don't have age categories. (The total on the front page was out by one, but has been fixed).

Updated, and the total drops to below 1200 for the first time :)
After discovering that the unconverted dragon count was out by one yesterday, I did a completed recheck of all of the totals against the unconverted lists, and alas, the grand total is actually currently still 1200 :(.

But at least I'm pretty sure my maths is now correct again.

Thanks for the updates

I just want to say that I really appreciate the updates to the first post in this thread (and the other threads). Looking at this stuff is like watching a D&D creature news feed showing the monsters rolling off of the production line.:D

The yellow, purple and orange dragons from Dragon #65 and #248 were updated in the Dragon Compendium, Volume 1, but those are (somewhat annoyingly) different creatures from the brown, orange and yellow dragons from Dragon #38 ;).

Here is the breakdown of creatures from D&D history that have not yet appeared in 3.X form somewhere in print or on the web, and links to all the threads listing unconverted critters:

Completed
Horde
Maztica

By setting/source
Imagine magazine: 4
Dark Sun: 8
Dragonlance: 12
Al-Qadim: 17
Mystara: 21
Birthright: 24
Greyhawk: 24
Original D&D: 28
Ravenloft: 29
Generic 1st edition: 30
Oriental Adventures: 32
Planescape: 32
Dungeon magazine: 56
Forgotten Realms: 58
Spelljammer: 59
Polyhedron magazine: 63
Generic 2nd edition: 232
Dragon magazine: 468

Is there any chance we can get a breakdown on the number of Jakandor creatures at some point soon? Now there is a Converting Creatures from Other Campaign Settings that is converting them, I'd love to see how things are progressing. (Are they currently folded into "Generic 2nd edition"?)
