*After a while, they see the restaurant proper just ahead.*

"Well, here we are. Hmm...Carlo would be home from school by now. I hope he isn't causing too much trouble back home. Eileen said not to worry about it and that she'd take care of him, but she seemed like she was piled up with more work even than usual."

"If she tells not to worry, we can do as she said for one night. I think I watch enough over everything all year long. I even got an idea. To make sure we don't get disturb, what do you think to finish teh night at the Winged Flute? We could rent there best room and stay alone, away for anyone who could disturb us." suggests Rinaldo.

*Valeria laughs slightly at Rinaldo's antics and walks through the opened door, waiting for Rinaldo to follow.*

"Ah, this will be DiSenzio, party of two then?" the maitre d' nods to himself and calls over a waiter.

"Right this way, sir and madam. Your table is waiting for you. Please follow me."

*And the waiter heads off into the quiet candle-lit back room, where soft stringed music is playing. He leads them to a small but comfortable table for two near the music and a small fountain, where a bottle of fine champagne waits with two glasses. He pours some champagne out for each of them then lays a menu at each place setting.*

"I'll be back in a few minutes to take your order for appetisers and salads," he tells them, as he leaves the two alone.

Rinaldo move behind a seat and pull it. "Please." And eh waits for her to sit down. Rinaldo walks to teh other seat and sits down. He takes his glass of champagne. "Twenty years ago, I saw you for the first time. I remember it like if it was yesterday. You were working at your stall at the market. I was supposed to buys some vegetable for my mother and I finally forget half of them because I had been charmed by your smile. Two years after I asked you to marry me. It took me a year to gather the ressources and prepare our wedding. A magical moment. And after that, for seventeen years, our couple hold even after all I have done, and I have done much to gives you worries.

But I was lucky, lucky to have found a women that understood that I needed to travel, that I needed to help the people I could help, a women that had the patience that my wanderlust would end.

Today, I wish to have you at my side as much as possible. I wish to travel with you. I wish to see no more adventure that will keep me away from you. I want to live the live I missed during all these years I have been on my wanderlust. I've miss so much, like the first words of Salvador, the first steps of Isabella, the birth of Carlos..."

Rinaldo pause a moment, the tought of the father he hasn't been for his kids was like a ball in his throat.

"Twenty years of love, seventeen years for the best and the worst. I wish it will last at least another twenty years, and I hope they will be the best, the worst being behind us."

He raises his glass of champagne, smilling at Valeria before taking a sip with her.

*Valeria clinks her glass against his and also takes a sip.*

"I'm going to hold you to that, you know?" Valeria laughs, "Well, if you want to have a family outing, we could all go surprise Salvador at school on his birthday. That might just embarrass him, though."

"If I bring him a gift that would perfectly fit for a young wizard, something I could ask Tenebrynn or Opale to create, I think he would forgive the possible embarrassement. What do you think a sustaining spoon for his long night of study where he must forgot to feed himself. We could do a little improvement to that item and instead to create some nourrishing but untasty food, it could create your best soup, it would remind him home too...

Ok, that might be usefull, but not necesserly interesting for a young boy. But I don't want to give him some wand of fire made by Ashnar. Plan he burns himself..."

(OOC: Okay, I'm going to guess you meant 'instead of', since my first parse of that sentence made me think he was saying something equivalent to: "It could make some nourishing and untasty food--like your best soup!"  )

"Yes, no fire for Salvador. When he was heading off, I looked up those schools of magic in a book, and Evocation is the dangerous one Ashnar does--I told him he'd better bar himself from Evocation if he expected us to pay his tuition...Of course, I hope that doesn't mean he's going to specialise in it! Hopefully he can do something nice and harmless, like Opale's illusions..."

"But wait, didn't Ashnar get killed by an illusion!?"

"Illusion school play with fear too. These kind of spell are called phantasm, illusion that looks too real to the target and yes, it can kill, giving an heart attack. It kill or do no harm, but for a killing spell, it is the earliest spell a wizard call learn, if I remember well what opale told me. And if he choose Illusion, I doubt he will be suggested to barred himself Evocation. The Chromatic Order have these double specialization, and I think Illusion and Evocation are linked in teh same speciality. That would be the best speciality for him if he want to be a war wizard, Evocation for offence and Illusion for defence.

I think you would prefer him to choose either Divination or Abjuration. These are the most harmless spell, better for information and protection. Tenebrynn is a Diviner. But I remember when he was young, he liked to see Opale's illusion when she told her story, like when she was figthing that false dragon in Grenton. Salvador liked all these flashy effect, and Illusion or Evocation are that, flashy."
