And I think that we'd have to be approving cyborgs. They could very easily get out of hand very quickly (and I honestly never liked the idea of them--even when I WAS playing Rifts). So probably a "no" there, too. Limited cybernetics, great. Full-conversion? No. Very much no.

If I remember right...

Reesa, Dantain, and the contributing patrons had gone as far as basic animatronic replacement limbs for amputees and basic replacement organs. I think that was the extent of the approved technology as it stood then. Strictly medical, as opposed to militaristic super-beings. Mecha were likewise a no-go, as far as I recall, but I think there was some mention about non-weaponized car-sized walking vehicles.

So, very much agreed with the official stance, there.
