    "That really was most unusual." Eleria says to her comrades in a curious tone as she pokes the no-longer-animated rug. "The things you find in a wizard's house!... I wonder what else is in store here?"

    Now that the rug is defeated and there is no longer a threat, Eleria will explore the room.

    My communities:

    Searching around the room, the party finds a library full to bursting with books on a multitude of subjects. While none appear to contain spells, many do cover subjects both magical and mundane. On the table inside the door rests a small stack of blank parchments beside a quill and a small vial of ink. There is a door at the far south end of the room which appears to be the only exit besides the secret door you entered through.

    OOC
    Each PC earns 150 XP for defeating the rug. The books within this room would would provide a circumstance modifier of +2 on any of the following skill checks: Knowledge- Arcana, Geography, History, Local, or The Planes.

    Abdul makes a mental note to ask to borrow some of the books, then searches for anything unusual (such as a slip of paper hidden in a book with a message).

    Elthic will shrug, and check the hallway, keeping ready for any "funny stuff". He'll check to see if there's a door at the end of the hallway that syncs up with the one in the room we're already in.

    Elthic will head into the Hallway, looking down said hallway and trying to figure out if the door in the room seems to connect to the hallway in any way. Really, he's just heading into the hallway.
