Skills question..

Ok, i may sound like an idiot for asking this, but i think im wrong.
I made a new fighter, but he has 6 inteligence, so -3. a fighter gets 2 skills a lvl +int modifier, and im human. so. 3-3 = 0. do i have 0 skill points or did i read the PHB wrong..

I can't find my ph at the moment, but I think no matter what the final modified number is - you always get AT LEAST 1 skill point per level.

ah ok, cause i was gonna say that that would have been the worst thing imaginable

would that mean i get 1 or 4 at first lvl lol

Well, assuming I am correct in the first place: 4.

You multiply by 4 when all other calcs have been done.

Aquiring Skills at 1st lvl:
A character gets at least 4 skill points even if he has an intelligence penalty

Aquiring skills at higher levels:

A characters gets at least 1 skill point even if he has an intelligence penalty.
