A Rather Odd Shovel [Judge: Bront]

"...n't like it!" Keldar whispers. He reaches out and very deliberately clasps Tarag's hand. He places his other on Tommy's shoulder.

Behind them, Fimble speaks a few short words, raises a bent finger and blows a puff of air. Instantly, everyone vanishes like a blown out candle flame.[sblock=Fimble's spells]0 Dancing Lights, Detect Magic, Mending, Mending, Message

The quiet, uncrowded street suddenly becomes even more quiet and even less crowded. Or so it would seem to the casual observer.

"Going quiet! Next stop, Turket's door,"
Tommy whispers over the message link. He opens the lid on the basket again, and eerie silence engulfs the area. He walks, not entirely boldly, down the street and stops in front of the door to Vlad Turket's house, avoiding walking near any passersby.

With Fimble pushing in the small of Keldar's back, and Keldar bridging the other two, the group manage to keep in a tight huddle with no danger of anyone accidentally moving beyond the boundaries of the invisibility spell.

Keldar gives Tarag's hand one last nettlesome squeeze and lets it drop. Beneath the cloak of spells, there's no obvious sign that he's drawn his blades.

Tarag nods at Tommy. When the mage closes the basket lid, he utters the syllables of the Stone Shape spell and creates an opening in Turket's wall. Fimble covers this with an illusion of the wall (OOC: Silent Image), and then Tommy opens the lid again, after which the party moves through the covered opening.

The invisible gang enters the house completely undetected. Inside, all is quiet. No candles are burning, and no noises can be heard. It doesn't seem like anybody's home, at first glance.

[sblock=OOG]Apologies. I should have mentioned that I'm visiting family in the north east this winter. I've spent the last few days holed up in a hotel and shoveling snow. Barring future weather problems (which, unfortunately, seems likely) I'll be more present.[/sblock]

Keldar flips down the basket lid with the tip of his short sword. "Bedroom?" he breathes.[sblock=OOC]Fimble needs to keep line of effect to maintain the Silent Image covering the hole in the wall, and we need to keep within 10 feet of him to stay invisible. Probably should have cast invisibility sphere on an object or someone other than himself. Oh well.[/sblock]

Fortunately, the downstairs is mostly open, and Fimble is able to maintain eye contact with the wall. You pass the door to the cellar, which is closed, and you see that the kitchen is open to the rest of the house, not separated like in most wealthy houses.

Unfortunately, the bedroom is not downstairs. Across the living room, opposite the front door, is a spiral staircase leading up. Fimble leads the way to the top, keeping an eye on the wall, and extends the sphere as high into the second story as he can while still maintaining his illusion on the wall.

The second floor consists of a narrow hallway with rooms on the sides. There are two doors on each side of the hall, and one larger door at the end of the hall, slightly ajar, for a total of 5 obvious rooms on the second floor.

The silenced arrow at your side, you hear nothing.
