Pinnacle's Forgotten Forge

"You'll pay for that!" Cutter roars at Alex, seeming to ignore the less effectual attacks of her other enemies. Her axe comes out as she steps toward him, and she swings it in a wide arc. She draws a painful line across his chest (7 damage), and continues the swing straight around behind, catching Watcher by surprise and biting into his shoulder (8-2=6 damage).

The end of Alex's chain wraps around Cutter's left arm; both pull on the weapon, but neither falls before she shakes her arm free.

(Raysuldra's turn)

(Damn five foot steps and their avoidance of my AoO's! Poor Alex... 3hp left. I'd Stomp, but can't do it without hitting Watcher and Storm. Besides... skybridge, stomp, maybe not the best combination.)

Alex growls as the axe bites into his chest. "That HURT!"

He lashes out with his chain again, but unfortunately swings wide as he reels back from the blow.

(5 foot step to P-6, swing and miss)

1d20+5 → [3,5] = (8)

Watcher HP 5/14

Watcher staggers with the second blow, not having expected it, assesses the battleground, and steps forward, attempting to take advantage of the other warforged's distraction with Alex. His swing with his axe, however, is not as strong as it could be, and he mentally notes that the damage to his shoulder joint is throwing off his aim. He follows up with a punch to the back of the female-voiced 'forged's head with his uninjured arm, but misses as well.

5-foot step to M6

Axe attack, with flank: 13 AC, 8 damage if it hits
1d20+7, 1d12+6 → ([6, 7], [2, 6])

Slam attack, with flank, a natural weapon: 5 AC, would have done 5 damage if it had hit
1d20, 1d4+4 → ([3], [1, 4])

Kyria suddenly explodes into action, lunging with a "Ha!" Unfortunately her foot slips, sending her thrust wide. She recovers adroitly and comes into a defensive crouch.

ooc: 5' step to N5, miss.

Aesha continued to watch the fight unfold- the warforged assassin was obviously outnumbered, and there seemed little need to interfere. The strange mix of witnesses-turned- participants was at least as intriguing at the mystery of what events might have set this attack into motion.

OOC: Maintaining her Ready action with a Sleep spell just in case.

Storm - Shifter Ranger - 11/11hp

Seeing Raysuldra take care of the assassin, Storm will throw his bow over his shoulder and lean easily against the edge of the bridge. He'll take note that one of the individuals in the area took no actions whatsoever and will be keep an eye on her. When the guards arrive he'll remain quiet, as he's unfamiliar with these lands and knows there's no love lost between Brelanders and his people.

With a sound of splintering wood and metal scraping against metal, Raysuldra buries her axe in the body of the warforged.

No sound escapes from her as the light in her eyes fade and her bloody weapon clatters to the ground. The construct herself follows quickly, crumpling to the surface of the bridge.

For the briefest moment, everything looks still. Then, a tiny insect-like construct unfolds from the slot in her chest and zips through the rainy air, away from the bridge.

For another moment, all is still. This time, a piercing whistle interrupts; the Sharn Watch, quick to respond to danger in this upper part of the city, is on the way.

Raysuldra looks fatigued and says to Watcher "Can you tell if this warforged is dead or unconcious? And do you know what the flying thing was?"

Alex advances cautiously, grimacing in pain at the wound on his chest, and prods at the inert warforged with the end of his chain, unsure whether it's really disabled, as he knows little to nothing about them.
