Encounter Calculator how to

I use the EC a lot when I’m planning my Dm sessions.

But I have a small question. The calculator works great with CR above 1 but if I want to challenge my players with say 100 Kobolts I have a problem. Kobolts are CR 1/6, if I put 1/6 in it would be 0.167, but that doesn’t work.
What would you suggest? Just divide the number of kobolts by 6 and say that’s CR 1? Or something else?

It doesn't handle 1/6. So halve the number and put in 1/3.

so 50 creatures of CR 1/3 gives you a EL 9.1

One note. I noticed that this was my server.

My ISP is DHCP. So the the IP changes on a weekly basis. (Normally on Sunday)

I originally got the calculater from John Dell's website, but he disapeared.

Yeah, it doesn't handle the low stuff, but over all I use it to give a base idea when I am planning encounters if my players can handle things.

You should be able to do a "File Save As" command and save it to your local hard drive so it is alway available.
