Zarpox is somehow tall, with penetrating blue eyes. His hands are thin and fast. He is very thoughtfull and speculative, and never take others ideas lightly without questioning. His eldrich blasts are used very usually, agains enemies, against stubborn objects which seems not to be in the correct place, and anything that the warlock think must be must be "fixed" .His chaotic behaviour is strong, making him a dreadfull rival, though it is hidden beneath his friendly face and his big smile. Bluffing and lieing are usual when he interact with other persons.

Zarpox is a cunning warlock, descendant from a long tradition magic user family, that was cast out because a deal with deamons they had in an early past. The Tremen family swere vengance upon thouse wizards that have cast them away, and ever since, what was a prominent wizard breeding family, became a warlocks and wild mages clan. Zarpox is one of the offsprings of the now feared Termen family, but he didnt take that to siriously, he preferes to find the easiest way to became wealthy and powerfull. Ever since he left his home, Zarpox wanders around, looking for something easy and productive to do.
His last "Productive thing" was protect a cart of 'not that much wealthy' merchants from a midlle size city in the north of Keldon, to a small farming town, lost in the middle of a wide plain, known for the common prescence of orcs. The farming village itself was kind of a wooden fort, but any one outside the village is unexistent to the local militia. So, Zarpox decided to earn some easy money, and seat down in the front cart, and sleep all the way. Luckily he wake up when the first merchant has slain with an arrow in his chest.

Making use of his feindish powers, Zarpox summoned a magical darkness over the cart he was in, and waited for the assaliants to make their way in it.
With swings of his falichon, he killed one after another, protected by the veil of magical darkness. When the effect disipated, five orcs were ling in the dusty road, lifeless.

Can you explain your HP rule again, please.

doghead said:
I'm going to use on one the Pathfinder variants for the hp calculation. Start with the PC's Con score, then calculate for each level as normal (ie roll HD and add con bonus, etc). This should help reduce the chance of a 'whoops' kill, especially for those classes with lower HD.

So, Bob the wizard with Con 11 has 11+3+2 or 16 hp.

Kaddok, using Pathfinder rules
Con 14 + (d8)6 + 2 Con Mod +2 Pathfinder favored class bonus= 24
Redclaws system:
29 = 18 + (d8)6 + (d8) 5 = (14+1d8+2+1d8+2)

Redclaw/Ather uses
27 = 14 + 1d8 + 1d10 = (12+1d8+1+1d10+1) 2x Hit die? +2xCon mod? ohne Pathfinder fav class bonus?
My system:
Con 12 + (1d10) + 1 Con Mod + 1 Pathfinder favored class bonus= 14 + (1d10)

Deuce Traveler/Sergeant Brottor Broddok has
HP 38
Redclaw's system:
(38) = 22 + 2d10 = (16+1d10+3+1d10+3)
My system:
Con 16 + (1d10) + 3 Con Mod + 2 Pathfinder favored class bonus= 21 + (1d10)
standard 3.5 with Con as first level HPs:
Con 16 + (1d10) + 3 Con Mod = 19 + (1d10)

should I add 5 HP?

Edit: Voda Vosa uses the same system as I do (only 3.5), but uses 34 point buy?
Pathfinder would be
Con 16 + (1d8) + 3 Con Mod + 2 Pathfinder favored class bonus= 21 + (1d8)
Redclaws:
? = 22 + 2d8 = (16+1d8+3+1d8+3)

DT - no problem. I have been there myself. We have just had the power come back on after 12 hours. Got a bit windy here today.

Voda - Looking forward to seeing the Warlock in action. I like the background and description as well. (If you hard break the sentences - enter or return key - you don't have to scroll all the way over to the right.) It looks to me like you have used a 38 point build, or 34 if you have included the +2 Human bonus from Pathfinder. Or am I missing something?

Everyone - nice work with the crunchy bits in your ic posts.

WD - Um, maybe. Basically characters start with their Con score, then add hp as normal for each level. I didn't really break down everyone's hp, they all seemed to be in the same ball park.

So its Con + (HD + Con bonus)*level.

So Kaddok would be 14 + 2d8 + 4 = 26 (assuming rolls of 4 and 4).

I wasn't thinking about the Pathfinder favoured class bonus (+1 per level, iirc) when I set things up. Add it if you want.

Everyone - just check we are all on the same page with this. Let me know if you have any questions.

Here is the last HP option in the Pathfinder rules:
Constitution: Maximum hit points for 1st level plus your Constitution score and any other bonuses.

So it would be Con + (max HD + Con bonus) + (rolled HD + Con bonus) *level.
So Kaddok would be 14 + (8 + 2) + (6(1d8) + 2 = 32 (roll of 6).
Without favoured class bonus

I will change my sheet now to:
14 + 6 (1d8) + 5 (1d8) + 4 = 29 + 2 fav class = 31

Well, seeing that I didn't take all advantage of the pathfinder rules, I've further updated my character to include the +2 to wisdom and the favored class hps.

HP's - So every one is happy with HP's? Of course, now with some characters into the 30's, I'm going to have to add some barbarian levels to the ogre's ...

ICCrunch - AC please. Give me results rather than links to results. You can link if you want to, just so long as I can see the result in the post. The AC/HP/Saves bar that some people are using is nice and useful.

OK. Back to the ic thread. See you there.

Hey, I need the HPs, my AC sucks ;) (using Two-Handed weapon only for roleplaying reasons).

@Voda: On HPs, you should use Pathfinder, too.

- Use a d8 for HP, because you have a medium BaB.
- Make warlock your favored class and add two more HPs.
=> Your HPs would be 24 + 2d8.

- In Pathfinder, humans get a free weapon proficiency (open you one feat slot)
- BTW, Chain Shirt gives a +4 AC Bonus, not +5.

I'm just reading the background informations in "Curse of the Crimson Throne". Can I substitute a Shoanti bola for the Longbow?

Shoanti Bola: The Shoanti often use special bolas carved
from bones and weighted with stones. These bolas function
as standard bolas but deal lethal damage rather than
nonlethal damage. Most Shoanti bolas can also function as
bullroarers—tiny holes carved in the weights cause them
to emit a mournful keening sound when spun.

Shoanti bola 15 gp 1d3 1d4 ×2 10 ft. 2 lb. Bludgeoning and piercing
