Tulbar steps aside as the half-orc touches the wall. He doesn't want to be included in a possible trap range.

As Talon pushes on the stone, he realizes that there is a section that is noticeably colder than the rest of the wall. It also seems to have some condensation on it. After a few more moments of prying at the wall, he discovers a hairline crack in the stone, and eventually is able to pry the secret door open.

The air here is thick with the smell of cooking meat and wood smoke. In the center of the chamber is a large iron cauldron, blackened with age and soot. A pair of small, pale humanoids, with fierce fangs and oversized pads on their fingers, kneel near the cauldron, adding sticks to the fire, while a third pulls squirming rats from a bag and tosses them into the stew.

Upon seeing the creatures, Weasel attacks the nearest one.

Move action: Summon Mindblade.
Throw Mindblade: Ranged attack (1d20+6=9, 1d4+2=6)

EDIT: +1 to hit Kobolds and Goblinoids, just in case.

Elwyn moves to stand near Weasel and Freya. He raises his mace, ready to smash any creature that approaches. If they are already under attack, he'll hit one of their attackers.

Tulbar reacts instantly. If the creatures or his group starts a fight, he will attack, too.

If he can hit all the enemies in the area, but no group member, he will use Burning Hands.
Otherwise, he will shoot one of them with a lesser Orb of Acid.

After stowing the torch and prepping the crossbow, Freya will wait to see what the wee humanoids do.

If they advance threateningly, she will shoot one with the crossbow.

Round 1

Even as Freya moves to cover the light of her torch and Elwyn tries to join the two at the newly revealed doorway, Talon and Weasel react to what they perceive as danger. Talon shifts to his more feral form, and Weasel manifests a mindblade. The latter action triggers a reaction from the residents of the room, and battle erupts.

Tulbar steps in front of his companions and unleashes a blast of fire from his hands. Two of the creatures seem to avoid the worst of the fire, but the one in the bottom corner is deeply burned.

Weasel throws his mindblade, but is unable to connect with the creature stirring the pot.

Freya waits to see what is happening, hoping for a clear shot past the warmage if the creatures attack…Which they do. Her shot is spoiled by the others between her and her target.

The one at the front draws a javelin that was carefully propped against the cauldron, then throws it at Tulbar, hitting him for 3 points of damage. One of the two in a corner grabs a javelin of his own and throws it, also hitting Tulbar for an additional 4 damage. The third creature heads down the hallway to the south.
