Round 1, continued
As the big cat charges Tank, William reacts with a well-timed swing, splashing blood on the cave floor.
"Fear not, here comes Octavio!," he shouts as he leaps into the fray. Unfortunately, his rapier flourish cuts only air.
"Is someone there? Help! Mom?" comes a girl's voice from a high ledge at the back of the cave.
"Lara! I'm coming, love! Stay back!" Serana responds, her voice tight with urgency.
Jinx glances down at his crossbow, awkwardly held in one hand, and his lantern, held in the other. Then simply drops the lantern; it's not like it'll go out. He quickly moves to a firing position, briefly concentrates, and loosens a bolt at the creature; it screams through the air, trailing sparks, and moves so fast that in the dark cave, it's like a line of blue fire stabbing at the beast. His shot is not the best he's ever done, but since the great beast is so close, it hits anyway. (ooc: point blank shot gives an extra +1 to attack and damage, which is just enough to hit)
Thargon gives a mighty yell, and runs forward, swinging his axe wildly and nearly cutting William's leg off. (ooc: natural

Phelan, with a helpless look at Tankard's gruesome wounds, steps around near Jinx and fires his crossbow, managing to scratch the creature despite the press of battle around it. (

Serana advances as well, chanting a spell and holding the familiar bluish-white charge of a healing spell.
