Wayfinder Expedition to the Demon Wastes

Swim 11

Zaeg is rather delighted. This is no longer sailing some crazy boat, or running some exercise course, or even trying to make sense out of people lying to each other. This is back in the real, the world where he had been before, the world of death by blade in the night, and this is a world which he understood, in its simplicity.

Zaeg gets off the longboat and moves toward the beach, trying to use the cover of the night and not make too much noise. He follows the party, a few paces away, constantly looking out at and listening to his surroundings, wary of any ambushers.

Nearly drowning does nothing to improve Reapers behavior toward anyone. She's cool and calm doesn't react to being spoken to. She keeps her scythe with her at all times and looks ready to stab anyone who gets to close.

As the longboat slips through the water Reaper quietly hums a dirge.

She slips effortlessly through the water to the beach. She seems to loath the idea of her whip weilding tormentor being behind her and stays at the leading edge of the group.

as you strike forward in the premorning darkness the sound of fighting erupts from far to the left. Suddenly the hiss of magic quells it back into early morning quiteness.

Continuing the advance, you come upon the village. Cloth Huts and tent lay 100 feet uphill from you. You seem to be amongst the first to reach the village. The look of a phalnax awaits you, dozens of goblins all armed with longspears and shields, begin decending upon you in tight formation.

An Earth Shattering Roar comes from behind the camp, apparently Wulfgar and his gang has found the ogre.

[Allies are not in sight, but closeby. What do you do]

Reaper lets out a long high shriek and takes off. She arcs around the phalanx, trying perform a one person flanking action and hit them from the side (away from the cluster of spears).

Base Shifter Monk1, AC25 HP29/28 spot +5, Listen +3

Base bares his teeth as the goblins rush in, His skin thickens and sprouts coarse, strait black hair and he charges, tumbling through the enemy ranks to into flanking position with Reaper (and avoiding AoOs), in under the spears to stirke deep into the heart of the enemy mod, getting adjecent to as many of the spear weilders as he can (2 at least). He roars to attract as much attention as he can to himself. [sblock=Rolls]Tumble/Attack/Damage: (1d20+11=30, 1d20+4=13, 1d6+2=3)[/sblock]

Zaeg, AC 19, HP 16, PP 4

Zaeg sees his fellows rush in to engage the goblins, and so does he. However, he is much more cautious, raising his shield and club in a tightly defensive pattern as he moves in. He knows that luck alone will be able to grant him the skill needed to engage the goblins as well as his companions; he does not want to use up that luck just yet. Instead, he moves methodically, trying to get into position to set up flanks for his companions, that they might press the advantage.

[sblock=OOC]Shooting PP at a phalanx isn't very efficient, so Zaeg is moving in and fighting defensively (-4 to hit , +2 AC) with padded club and darkwood shield. Trying to set up flanks etc. Random to hit 17 and damage 4.[/sblock]

Vigarr - HP 39/39 - AC17

The half-orc barbarian charges forward, his short sword held high over his head as he roars out a challenge, sounding as if he means to take on the entire horde himself. As the others seek to flank the enemy, Vigarr charges in and leaps over their awaiting spears, landing in the middle of their ranks and attempting to drive his sword into the nearest foe.

[sblock=Rolls]
Jump (1d20+11=16)
Attack; Damage (1d20+7, 1d6+6=[7, 7], [2, 6]) To hit 14, 8 damage if hits.

@ Ren - you do realize that invisible castle tracks every role you make with a character name. So the 4 jump rolls Vigarr made before the one you actually posted along with you first pathetic attack roll are permanently logged on the site. That's why we use it here on enworld to stop people from cheating...
