What you can do, however, is to avoid pairing a race that needs more space to describe with a class that needs more space to describe. A half-elf fighter and a dwarf cleric may not be as iconic, but both the characters can be fully described on a double-sided sheet of paper.

Spot on. I mean, its not like they made the pregen two minutes before the deadline (or...I hope not). They made the character, and recognized it wouldn't fit on the character sheet.

Corrin was getting either +1 to all defenses as a Paladin, or +1 to Fort and Will, and +1 as a halfling. Since the KotS halfling is missing a +1 to Reflex, we can assume Paladins should get +1 to all three, and this KotS Dragonborn is missing them all.

Longsword +7 = +4 Str, +3? Proficiency

Maybe Corrin and the dragonborn are two different types of paladins. One, Corrin's type, gets a defense bonus. The other, the dragonborn's type, gets +1 to hit with one weapon or all weapons or something.

EDIT: Completely unrelated to the above, that halfling rogue can do 1d4+7+2d8 every round. OW.

I initially think the same but this mean that the paldin has no base bonus defenses? hope not.

I too have transcribed the sheets and added an At-Will to the Half-Elf Cleric sheet (Warlock Eyebite was recommended so I put it on there). You can find them on this post:
