Unified Mechanics, and other House Rules

Howdy All.

I'll be updating this thread as I finalise other rules, but I think the largest change I've got is regarding the healing surge resource mechanics.

In the general spirit (Of which I heartily approve) of mechanic unifcation, I present the Heroic Surge.

:1: Take all references to Healing Surge(s) in the game. Rename them to Heroic Surge(s).

:2: Add flavour text to ensure that tapping a Heroic Surge represents the character digging into the physical and mental reserves.

:3: Take all references to "Action Points"; Replace with "Heroic Surge",

:4: Within the Magic Item section, and Magic Item abilities usable per day. Scratch that whole section.
Instead, indicate that activating a Magic Item's power costs a Heroic Surge

:5: Grant 2 extra Heroic Surges to all characters.

:6: Enable Characters to renew 1 Heroic Surge per Milestone.

Additionally, I've ruled that being reduced to 0 or Less hitpoints removes a Heroic Surge from your total surges, and can only be replaced through a Healing Ritual, or by 1 weeks rest.

I've yet to set the Ritual's cost in stone.

Any thoughts?
