Koryo ponders in silence the meaning of the Black Veil's appearence in Tiger's Rest as a continues his work.

Was it a mistake by one of the Order that had let them to be identified by outsiders and rumors of their work spread so easily? Had their training standards fallen? Had the knowingly revealed themselves for a subtle message to be sent? While the sailors likely knew little more than rumors magnified by their imagination, the captain of the ship appearently knew more.

Diligently Koryo continues his routine, using his task on deck to familiarize himself more throughly with the layout of the ship until sunset. Perception, spying a way into the captain's cabin (1d20+6=11)

Long after nightfall, the ship gliding silently on an ocean lit by faint starlight, a dark and veiled figure slinks from shadow to shadow. Patiently waiting on the passing of clouds to conceal his outline and the creaking of the wooden ship to hide the slightest possiblity of noise, Koryo - hiding his guise again behind the Assassin's veil for the first time in decades - sneaks past the night watch to pay the captain a midnight visit in his cabin.

5 Stealth (or Thievery) rolls to sneak into the captains cabin (1d20+10=20, 1d20+10=23, 1d20+10=27, 1d20+10=11, 1d20+10=25) [/sblock]

The Captains cabin was a small wooden room, filled with garbage and personal effects. It had a table, where the navigation maps where displayed. The captain himself was snoring over the table, with a sextant in his hand and a bottle of ron in the other. You watched the man until dinner, when you descend under the deck to take some food, but no ron. You needed every neuron to be awake.
Once the night had fall, you approach the cabin. Your steps where mute, your movements compassed the movement of the balancing ship. Concentrated on the things filled floor, you hit your head with a hanging rope. Fortunately there was no one to see the moving ropes. You step close to the captain’s door. From the interstice between the door and the wall, you can see him sleeping over his bead, snoring, as usual. The door was opened, so you step in, close the door, with no other sound than a wood creak. [/sblock]

A drunk and foolish man. Easy to beat in a fight. Difficult to keep calm in a talk
Koryo quietly ponders his actions as he stands motionless in the shadows of the cabin.

Carefully Koryo places any weapons outside the immediate reach of the sleeping Captain, takes a passing glance at the maps on the table and - if nothing of interest is found - finally moves over to hogtie the sleeping captain as best he can without waking him.

[sblock=rolls]Stealth (moving around); Perception (checking table, weapons); Thievery (hogtie sleeping captain). (1d20+10=12, 1d20+6=25, 1d20+10=23)
Damn my rolls :uhoh:[/sblock]

Once the stage is set, Koryo readies a dagger and a pillow, waking the tied up Captain to the veiled face of an Assassin and a gleaming dagger, pillow ready to stifle any yelp or shout.

"Be quiet.. " Koryo whispers menacingly in a voice very unlike that of the sailor hired to the ship in Tiger's rest.

"Be quiet and listen, or your life is forfeit!"

Bluff (trained) to change voice and Intimidate (untrained) to look menacing (1d20+6=18, 1d20+1=15)

The man wake up slowly. His eyes are red, and he looks dazed and probably he is still drunk. He slowly smiles at you “Mui, what are shou doin’ here? Ah’ tell ye… This ron is damn good ye know?” he blinks slowly, until he sees the blade, next to his throat. “Fine, Ah’ll be listening Mui, don’t do ….” Hi “hicks” and continues “….foolish. Ah listen, Ah listen” He stares at you in silence.[/sblock]

Hearing another explosion, Kaoru by instinct ducks, before realizing that it was not in the immediate surroundings. For several moments he is astonished and doesn't know what to think, and thus doesn't hear very well what his friends are yelling at him. Bandits? No, it's called bandit's forest, not swamp....". Then he gets over the surprise and it transforms in alarm. Bandits??? - he says at loud voice. Where, why? and hurries after Shen and Leng.[/sblock]

Shen sprints toward the weaponmaster's house. He was rushing, but didn't seem like he was in such a hurry that he was losing his composure. "Kaoru, come! I shall explain as we get our weapons."

Kaoru gulps. He has never used a weapon, and although he is trained in hand to hand combat, his strenght is nothing special. He has never used his mystical abilities, and is reluctant to start doing it...but if this is a real emergency, he should. Better to assess the situation first, though. So he rushes after the others[/sblock]
