Whatever happened to The Lessers, Dragon mag's columnists

Another thing came up when I was ditching my Dragon mag collection, and reading through them first:

remember there was a computer game section in Dragon, way back, and it was run by "The Lessers"?

Always seemd like nice folk and loved their column.
Damn, reading about Eye of the Beholder1, Doom1 again...Dark Sun: Shattered Lands...

O M G...nostalgia rush!!
(I still say D&D is far better played as a turn based game, real time kind of sucks)

Besides my love of those old games, whatever happend to "The Lessers" ?

I know lots of older contributors ended up being part of the mag or TSR etc, but the Lessers sort of just left the mag?? :/

I don't know about the contributors, but I do know about the games! (Hmm, that didn't quite work as planned. The ESA hasn't released it yet. )

I ADORED that game Eye of the Beholder got me into computers (and thus eventually to digital artistry)
In fact I sitll have that, most of all the (A)D&D computer games on Amiga and PC, and have the first offical colleciton of AD&D games (big gold box, Masterpiece collection).

Very close fmaily friend, 56 year old mechanic, saw me playing it, wanted ot play and got hooked on it! Was funny seeing him jumping around on the seat as if dodging blows etc, happy days, sigh

if only someone would od a modern remake of Eye of the Beholder...
