With the help of Dalzim and Incarnation, Riardon finds a loose board beneath the step down into the lower section of the room. Prying the board away reveals a small hidden compartment beneath the upper level. It actually goes back quite aways. Hidden in the secret nook is a backpack and a long curved blade in a sheath.

Incarnation takes a look at the weapon. You jump at conclusions. This could be the weapon of the dead. Someone search that backpack and give a moment with this. From the folds of his hood, the flames intensify, forming two orbs around his eyes as he examines the sword.

Neither Incarnation nor Riardon are able to detect any magical auras on the blade. Dalzim gives it a try but can't determine anything magical about it either. Unsheathing the long curved blade, Rurdev is pleased to see that it is one of the ancestral blades from his clan. The blade speaks of Rosvodiz' conquests though the deeds recorded stopped a long time ago.

Inside the backpack, Incarnation finds a small tattered book. Its leather binding is coming apart at the spine and the cover is worn smooth. There are a few other small personal effects in the bag including a few copper coins in a little pouch as well as a whetstone and water skin.
