[sblock=ooc]So would it be correct to assume that the door is locked/barred so we can't just open it without the Str check? That could make it more difficult, but we can use aid another on that check, right? With three strong characters bashing the door it should go down ...

Edit: Some tactics. I was thinking of going through the door near the stairs, I guess along with Kruk and whoever else decides to go that way. That way I can lock down Hoofchew with Divine Challenge as soon as possible - I want him impeded ;) I've heard that paladins are good at locking down a single target, so I figured I'd test the theory ;)[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Ach. I didn't even see that set of doors. Am I allowed to still change? If not, that's fine, although I'll be standing waiting for someone to kick the door down who isn't there. If it IS ok, I'll target Orc 05 instead, standing at EE12. Good call, Sessadore. I totally failed my perception check to see them on the map. You just aided: Other ;)[/sblock]

Once a consensus seems to be reached, Raiyek gives a nod to the group in general and puts on his helmet. He moves with purpose, but as quietly as possible, towards the door of the tavern, drawing his sword and readying his shield as he goes. Once there, he turns to face parallel to the wall of the tavern, out of sight of any windows, and waits for everyone else to get into position.
[sblock=Surprise Round]I'll stand at BB12 to start. I don't really want to move ahead without agreement from everyone else, but if we wait for 9 people to all weigh in we'll be discussing our initial approach til Christmas ;)

Standard Action: Assuming we need to bash the door in: I'll make a Strength check to aid Kruk, or whoever is kicking in the door. Strength check: 1d20+3=9. Then again, maybe not :erm:

If we don't need to bash the door in: Open the door to let Kruk go in screaming ;) If opening the door doesn't count as my action, I'll move in to V12.[/sblock]

ooc: Well, the door might be open, but you'd have to try it to find out. Opening it if it's unlocked is a minor action. Balth, that change is fine, no worries. Generally I'm fine with switching your actions, so long as it's not abusive, e.g. no changing targets if the guy who comes after you in initiative order rolls a crit that takes out your target, etc.

[sblock=OOC]Since I'll be one of the last ones in, Cross will enter at 12AA coming in low & trying to duck down on the opposite side of the bar at 11W. [sblock=stealth check]1d20+3=20, Roll Lookup [/sblock]
Once he's in place (and hopefully without too much notice), he will take a standard action to cast "flaming sphere" next to O5 (or the nearest standing orc if O5 is no longer a viable target).

The goal is for Cross to be in a position where he can control the ball without attracting too much notice (especially from the guards & Hoofchew on the opposite side of the bar) [/sblock]

Kruk follows the Raiyek to the door in an attempt to bash it.

[sblock=00C]
strength check for bashing door: 1D20+4 = 22
[/sblock]

Kruk bashes the door and screams "Whose with meeeeaaaaaagghhhhhh!!!!!!"

Kruk crashes through the door without breaking stride and locks into orc 5, executing a brute strike in order to set the tone for battle.

[sblock=00C]
mark orc 05, positioning myself at r13: Brute Strike on 05
1D20+7 vs AC = 17

for

3D12+4 = 17 points damage and marks the orc 05

[sblock=ooc]I think your actual move and attack will have to happen in the first round not the surprise round Dimsdale. As for Vashik, he will delay until the melee fighters have moved in past kruks smashed door, then execute acid arrow as rolled next round.[/sblock]

Les sighs and shrugs to the others. "I suppose this is an easier plan...and the majority of my thought process seems to have gone misunderstood. Who is with me for going to the second doorway?

[sblock=OOC]
Ah the curse of attempting and organizing a difficult plan. ;) Oh well haha.
Action: Move to set of doors that Raiyek and Kruk are not going to.
Surprise round: Bash open door!
Result: 11 {DAMN!}

[sblock=OCC] I agree with Raiyek here in getting things moving.

Also, thanks for letting me know about the surprise vs first round moves One Eye. I'm still in "learning" mode about roleplaying by post and deeply appreciate any advice from the more experience players: positive or negative. [/sblock]
