[/sblock][sblock=Background]Michelle Anette Fox was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on June 6, 1991. Her parents, Robert and Angela moved their ten-year-old daughter, her three brothers, Jack, Karac and Kelly and her sister Stephanny to Vancouver, British Columbia after his dad, a sergeant in the Canadian Army Signal Corps, retired. It was during these years that her abilities began to manifest. She never caught a cold and whenever wounded, it would heal unnaturally fast. Michelle decided she could put this to use by becoming a stunt double for actresses.

In 2003 she got a break and after she auditioned for a bit part in a movie. Shortly after completing the work she was kidnapped. After a year and a day she was released from her captors but not without the memories of what they had done her. Somehow they must have known about her healing ability otherwise she never would have survived the ordeal. Surgeons altered her by lacing her skeleton with an unknown material and giving her a set of three claws that pop out from between her fingers on each hand. The whole thing took its toll on her mind too. She is mentally scarred because of this and before it she had a keen sense of control of her emotions. Now she is prone to wild mood swings and when threatened becomes extremely violent.

She tried to continue her work as an actress but her personality conflicts came up way too often. She went back to being a stunt double for a while and then fell out of the scene. For the last couple of years she has been in a series of cage fights living off the money she gets after beating her opponents mercilessly.

A month ago she was approached by a scout and let her in on a secret; there was a cast of individuals with unique talents coming together to form the basis of a[/sblock]This is a work in progress...

[sblock=Description]
arisa-mizuki-00230910.jpg
[/sblock]

[sblock=Personality]At the age of 21, Keiko has grown up with a debilitating condition, super powers, has been a celebrity of sorts, and has been to jail for a fairly lengthy term. She feels, and acts, like someone who's seen it all. She has lived a double life for so long that to some extent it's second nature to her now. There's always an undertone of duplicity with her, a sense that there's something she's not telling. Similarly, she's had many friendly acquaintances, but no real friends or people she's felt close enough to trust. She deals with it by being convinced that she doesn't need anyone else, that she's a loner. From this she is often very sarcastic or cutting in dealing with people, though just as often she pretends to be gracious and polite, especially when she wants something. In the end, she is still very self-centered, making an effort to seem otherwise just for a more sympathetic public image.

Under everything else, Keiko is defined by anger. Anger over her blindness, even if her powers corrected that. Anger over her difference. Anger about the dismissal of her family, and more recently over the rejection of her father. Anger over not being respected, and about feeling helpless. It is this anger that fuels her lashing out, her disrespect for laws, and of people in general.[/sblock]

[sblock=Background]Keiko was born with a degenerative condition in her optic nerves that led to permanent, incurable blindness by the time she turned ten. The youngest of three children, she was already the 'baby' of her well-off family, and her condition ensured that she would be kept in a gilded cage; pampered but kept out of public view for fear of embarrassment.

But even as her eyesight faded, Keiko began to realize other senses. While she could see she read stories about people who could do almost as well with hearing as with sight. She worked hard to try to develop this for herself, but with mixed results. You couldn't 'see' with sound, not unless you were a bat, and running around screeching at as high a pitch as possible was not greeted with approval by the others in the house. Then Keiko reasoned that her eyes were still working, really. It was just that the signals weren't reaching her brain right. Maybe, she thought, she could find some way to get those signals flowing again. She spent days just sitting still and concentrating, trying to find the light. Perhaps it is inevitable that her diligence was rewarded. At first Keiko thought she was just imagining things. The 'feeling' of light in her head was just wishful thinking. But experimentation rapidly proved that she could sense the presence or absense of light, despite the nonfunctioning status of her eyes.

Things progressed quickly after that initial breakthrough. She learned to distinguish between intensities of light, then colors. Then, with time, she learned to use her ability to "see" again; to mentally construct images from light just as she had before she'd gone blind. Only now the information was coming from her psionic power rather than from her eyes. This had advantages. She could 'see' in any direction without turning her head, and her mind was potentially much more sensitive to light than her eyes, letting her see in relative darkness. It went farther than that though. She could not just sense light, but change it. Shape it. Control it.

At first Keiko was overjoyed and told her parents and siblings about the breakthrough, back when she first learned she could still sense light. They didn't believe her, and told her it was all in her head. After a couple of depressing talking-tos from her father, Keiko stopped coming to them about it. Even after she learned to see again...for by then she'd realized that there were advantages to this arrangement.

She began to sneak out of the house to experience the world that her family tried to shield her from. With clever use of images of sculpted light, and blanking out her own image, she found it easy to get away and back with none the wiser. It being a large house helped. Reveling in her newfound freedom, she quickly got into trouble on the streets of Tokyo, and her latent telekinetic ability manifested to protect her. Though it was originally channeled through her body, Keiko learned to project it as well...though it was much weaker when externally focused.

Now in her late teens, Keiko found herself in a perfect position to express all the frustrations she'd endured, along with the everyday angsts of any teenager. She put on a black bodysuit and a kitsune mask with the intention of becoming a sort of 'silent ninja avenger.' More often than not though she wound up playing petty pranks on kids that annoyed her, or teachers that gave her bad marks. From this she graduated to petty thefts as she learned to 'cloak' herself, by changing light reflecting from her to match light hitting her on the other side. It was effectively perfect transparency. It didn't come easily or quickly, but when she mastered the trick, it gave her a free hand to do as she pleased.

Keiko did not only commit petty crimes with her powers though. In fact, she spent a great deal of time doing things she couldn't normally do as herself. Even innocent things like taking Akkido lessons that would be inappropriate for a blind girl to do, or less innocent things like learning to pick locks.

After a while, her nightly outings were more about thrills and excitement than a need for money...though she found ways to spend what she stole, making a secret stash that was just hers, not her family's. Her first 'big time' job was a jewelry store, and it was very nearly a disaster. The store used ultrasonic sensors, not infrared, and was easily able to detect her moving in. The police were nearby and responded quickly. And when they realized they had her cornered inside, but couldn't see her, they used tear gas to flush her out. The smoky gas made her invisibility less useful, and blocked her own sight. The coughing gave her away too. Just before they found her, Keiko managed to make an image of herself running away as she held her breath, luring the police to chase the decoy. She escaped.

After that close call, Keiko kept a low profile. She used some of her ill-gotten goods to upgrade her gear, making a new mask that was actually a filter mask disguised to look like a kitsune. Her new bodysuit was padded and made of ballistic nylon...a special order that cost her most of what she had. She practiced using these projected holograms more, even working out how to use her telekinesis to move the air to make sounds.

The setbacks she'd suffered only made Keiko more determined than ever to show the world what she could do. When she graduated from high school, she finally had more freedom in time and obligations. While she pretended to go to a private school specializing in education for blinded individuals, in reality 'The Kitsune' was born.

With a couple of small anonymous thefts at first to rebuild capital, Keiko flew across to Hong Kong. Her first crimes which were publicly under the name Kitsune were committed there and in China. Later she pulled off a string of heists in South Korea that made headlines in Asian newspapers. One of her hallmarks was her love of taunting law enforcement...sometimes even waiting for them to arrive, then calling out to them as she ran to make sure they could see her. Of course, these were all mirages to mislead them, but her sheer apparent audacity struck a chord among young, rebellious kids in Japan especially. Each crime was like a show, carefully planned, meticulously plotted, and then performed in full view of a live audience. The Kitsune relished being seen, and did most of her heists in daylight in crowded areas. She also became known for how she never actually hurt anyone in her crimes. Scaring them, sure, but never actually fighting. This eventually made her life a lot more difficult as policemen stopped taking her 'fake attacks' seriously.

Another difficulty she encountered was gaining the notice of superheroes. Though she started too small to register, eventually her flamboyance made her a target, especially for up-and-coming new supers wanting a supervillain's feather in their cap. Kitsune was adept at evading them, but they were far more capable and dangerous than local police. This all culminated in what was to be her masterwork. An American collector was showcasing his World War II relics, among which was an Okinawan sword which had been an heirloom. The family of the soldier it had belonged to had made several overtures to the collector to buy it back, but he refused. Keiko decided that Kitsune would take it back, then donate it to that family. Unfortunately, things didn't go according to plan. She managed to get the sword, but in the process was injured by American superhero, Captain Superior. She made it to a safe place and rested to recuperate. As she did, the Japanese hero Taicho Sugoi, on loan for this very high-profile case, was able to track her down. She might have escaped again, but Sugoi's powers of emotional persuasion crippled her with guilt, causing her to surrender.

The Kitsune was unmasked. The reaction of the public was schizophrenic. Her family was unspeakably shamed, and her father especially refused to speak with her. Her 'fans' found the fact that she was blind merely to add to her appeal, and even in jail people sent letters of support. Of course, officially, the Japanese government and public denounced her, and she was sentenced to a lengthy prison sentence, though they did not allow her to be tried in any of the other countries she'd committed crimes in.

After two years she managed to secure parole. Still cut off from family though, and with such a blot on her record, it was hard to understand what she could do besides return to old habits. And then she got a call from one of Japan's top talent agents, Hakama "Inazuma" Takeo. It seemed old "Lightning" had a little proposal for her...[/sblock]

[sblock=Powers]Keiko is a psion with photokinetic and telekinetic abilities. Though she is not of great power in terms of the raw energy she can wield, she has extraordinary finesse and ability to coordinate multiple powers at once to create complex effects.

Invisibility: Keiko's mind interacts with light that comes within approximately 3 inches of her skin, detecting its precise direction and wavelength with a resolution far surpassing unaugmented human vision. She has learned to simultaneously alter light reflected from her body to conform exactly to light striking her on the opposite side. Most of this processing takes place subconsciously, similarly to hand-eye coordination. The result is that of perfect camouflage. Because incoming light is not altered, it doesn't interfere with her vision at all while making her, and anything that doesn't extend out more than 3 inches from her skin, effectively invisible to all wavelengths of light, including infrared and ultraviolet.

Super Senses: Keiko 'sees' by psionically detecting and decoding incoming light. This is omnidirectional, and much more sensitive to intensity than normal for human vision. Though she's learned to point her eyes at people when she's talking to them, or to signal that she's paying attention to them, this is purely optional on her part. It's quite possible for her to 'look' at someone but in fact be watching the TV behind her.

Illusions: Keiko can alter the direction and wavelength of light even at a distance from herself. This works very similarly to her invisibility in terms of what she does. She can create visual images of whatever she chooses, make them move as she wills. The "space" she can work within is about twenty feet across...but within that area she can make any number of individual images. The working area can move as well, allowing an image to move over a large area. She's learned to use telekinesis simultaneously as well, to either move objects in tandem with images (letting an image appear to interact with real objects) or to create perturbations in the air that cause sound waves to form. Similarly to her invisibility, these illusions do not require much conscious concentration to function, operating on psionically enhanced levels of her subconscious.

Blast: Keiko calls this "Kitsune-bi," though it is not actually fire, but a psionically generated laser beam. Like most of her powers, the laser is not of great intensity, but is extraordinarily accurate; aimed directly by her mind. To date she has used the laser primarily for carving kanji into things as a calling card, cutting through barriers and locks, and similar. She hasn't turned it against a living foe.

Dazzle: Similar to the laser, but less focused and not coherent, Keiko can produce a beam that will temporarily blind people. She refers to this as kitsune-bi too...as she does the various 'special effect rays' that she uses illusions to simulate. She's notorious for using this rather freely, ensuring that The Kitsune can escape even the most persistent foe.

Environment Control: Keiko can use ambient light, even invisible wavelengths, and focus it to create an area of bright illumination. The light created appears sourceless, and is too diffuse to blind anyone unless they would normally be blind in daylight-intensity light. She generally uses this at low intensity to see in otherwise dark areas, or as a spotlight for when 'performing.'

Obscure: Alternatively, Keiko can also force light away from an area, and shift visible light into invisible wavelengths, creating an area of absolute darkness. She has used this technique quite often to block lines of sight for police and similar.

Telekinesis: Keiko's telekinetic ability isn't any stronger than she is when projected outside of her body. It has the advantage though of being silent, invisible, and quite adroit. She can use this to flip switches, operate controls, or move things around all at a distance. She most commonly uses it in conjunction with a visual illusion, to make it seem to be able to manipulate its environment and thus seem more real.

Enhanced Strength: Keiko's TK comes into its own when it is channeled through her body. It increases her physical strength by a very large amount. This can be very valuable when she needs to perform a feat of strength, or on rare occasions when she must break a hold on her or punch someone. Unfortunately, her TK is not potent enough to channel through her entire body at once...she must focus it on her upper body, or lower body.

Leap, Speed, Supermovement: When Keiko channels her telekinetic power into her lower body, she becomes much faster and capable of astonishing jumps and leaps. She's even learned to telekinetically 'stick' herself to walls and ceilings, though she's not capable of actual telekinetic levitation or flight.[/sblock]

[sblock=History]The Viking is an actual Viking... Centuries ago his ship sunk during a storm near Iceland. Sven, who was magically infused with the power of Ice did technically survive. He was frozen inside the glacier.

Ten years ago a group of Norvegian scientist found the incredibly well preserved body in the glacier and when they thawed it the surprice was great when it started to move.

In the ten years since, Sven has had ample time to get used to modern day. It has been hard to hew the barbaric manners off of him and he still gets the urge pillage and burn from time to time. But one thing that he has become to enjoy in the modern times is Icecream.

Initially Sven was celebrated as the greatest archeological find of Norway ever and he became quite a popularity, but times change and the interest has moved on. Sven has tried since to do his best in the superhero business but his natural tendencies get in the way more than would be desirable. After an incident involving a burnt local store after he went in to stop a few kids shoplifting, the Norwegian Board of Superhuman Activities banned him from crimefighting.

This gave Sven the opportunity to do what he really wanted. To become an Icecream Truck Driver. He had been doing this for about a year when the Publicity Board of Norway asked him to join the Reality TV Show in US. In thruth, they just wanted him off of Norway, but if they could boost the TV ratings in the mean time, all the better....

And that's when they got the idea for the auditioning tape...[/sblock]

[sblock=Stuff about Sven]Although Sven isn't very smart, nor too lucky, he seems to be very lucky with the women. It must have something to do with his flowing blonde hair, rugged handomeness and tall, strong build. The american audience also seems to find his accent very sexy, even if they rarely understand at all what he is saying.

Sven is a simple man with simple desires. He usually takes what he wants and asks later. Well, actually he doesn't ask even then.

Sven is goodhearted and has a strong sense of honour. He always tries to do what's right but usually this ends in him smashing everything anyways.[/sblock]

6. Why do you want to appear on Television?
7. How do you see the future of the world when you are old. Is there hope for the world?
8. What would you like to see in this Season of - Needs Heroes!? Anything you wouldn't want to happen?
9. What would you say to those people that accuse you of being vigilantes, and say that the police and government should be the only ones that fight crime?

Unfortunately he inherited his father's height . . . and his mother's build, with powers stranded somewhere in between. This leaves a stretched out gangly young man with a number of issues.

However, when the Polish Tourism Board needed a public face to sacrifice to the gods of consumerism, they figured he'd fit the bill just perfectly. Send him off to some American TV show, and get some publicity, but without losing any actually useful hero. A few quick negotiations with the producers and Trzymierniki (3 Meters) was given 2-inch lifts on his shoes and redubbed the Ten-Foot Pole!

An exasperated voice speaks from off screen.

"Pan up."

The camera crawls up slowly, eventually finding its focus again on a puzzled looking young man. He picks uncomfortably at his outfit, clearly unused to the spandex body suit. Behind him, the Polish flag waves impressively. He looks down, away from the camera.

"Dlaczego. . ."

The exasperated voice interrupts him.

"English, please, Michael. You will have to speak English for the show, best to get practicing, yes?"

The young man flushes slightly and glances at the camera again for a moment.

"Why am I doing this?"

"I told you, it's for the show. An audition tape, to show them how impressive you are. You want them to want you on their show, don't you, Michael?"

"Not really."

"What was that?"

"Nothing. What I mean is, I thought I was already on the show. Isn't the whole thing being done through some back room deal with the EU? Why do I have to audition?"

There is a brief spate of Polish cursing.

"Look, Michael, the whole point of back room deals is that they are secret, yes? So, we make the audition tape. You act like you want to be on the show, and they act like they select you. And everyone gets to be happy. Good? Good. So we start over. We'll erase all this from the tape before we send it out. Just start from the beginning like we rehearsed."

The young man scowls sullenly for a moment before sighing. He stands up a little straighter, then slouches back down into frame. He looks down to the ground, then starts and locks his eyes to the camera. He nods to himself once.

"Hello, my name is Michael. You may have heard of my parents, their both pretty famous in the heroing world. But that's not why I should be on your show. Sure, my family history has affected me. They brought me up right, to be a hero, and use my powers to protect the little guy. But I can't rely on my connections to make my place in the world. The time has come for me to stand up proud, and take my place in the world. Salton City has put out a call for heroes, and that's a pretty tall order. But I think I'm just the man you need."

The camera slowly zooms out, revealing that the young man towers over everything around him, and stands nearly of a height with the building next to him. He glances down again for a second, nods once more, and then takes a deliberate step forward, making eye contact with the camera again.

"Here in my homeland they call me Trzymierniki, Three meters. But, ha ha, no metric for you Americans. You can me the Ten-Foot Pole. And Salton City? I want to be YOUR hero!"

He points one finger at the camera, coming impressively close to touching it, and then strikes a suitably dramatic pose. He holds the pose for a couple of seconds, before glancing downwards again while trying to hold the pose. A slightly seedy looking man wanders into frame and pats Michael awkwardly on the leg.

"Good, Michael. Good. We'll get one of our editors to go over it, cut out all the junk from the beginning, and maybe clean it up a little. But it should work. Looks real, looks authentic. Young superhero steps out from the shadows and into the spotlight! It's gonna be great, kid. Just great. Soon enough you'll be off to America! Do us proud!"

Michael looks distinctly less than impressed, but nods slightly.

"Yeah, alright." [/Sblock][sblock=Q&A]1. What do you think is your best ability/talent? How would you to use that ability/talent to change the world?
Honestly, I think by best talent in my mind. I mean, having super powers is useful, and all. But it doesn't amount to anything if you don't know HOW to use them. I think it's the only way to truly change the world, too. People need to start thinking and working together, instead of against one another.

2. Who or what do you consider to be your worst fear? Why?
Intolerance, I guess. All the powers in the world won't help if people won't accept you.

3. If you had the chance to save the world or yourself then which would you save if you can not save them both? Why?
The world. What would be the point in saving just me? I'd have nowhere to live. But really, there's a lot of people and things I care about. If it would save the world, I'd lay down my life. Some things are worth any price.

4. What is the one thing you want to do, which you are unable to do? What would you do if you had the ability to do that?
. . . I kind of wish I could have a secret identity. You know, live a normal life, do normal things. I'd only be "super" when I needed to. My mom looks like anyone else when she's not using her powers. I'm always like this.

5. What was your childhood like? Did you grow up powered? Dream of being a hero? Or were you just a normal, every day kid?
It was sort of odd growing up, I won't lie. I've been tall since the day I was born. I was taller than my first grade teacher. They had to bring in special chairs for me to sit in. The other kids found it really amusing, I guess. Having powered parents was odd, too. But mostly I didn't see them much. They're always busy, fighting the good fight. I'd liked to have seen them more, but I guess I understand that they had a job to do.

6. Why do you want to appear on Television?
I don't know. Maybe I just want a chance to be me, to see if I can be a hero on my own. Do I have what it takes?

7. How do you see the future of the world when you are old. Is there hope for the world?
I think there's hope. There's a lot of bad things out there, and thing will probably get a lot worse before they get better. But there's always people out there trying to make things work. I have to believe there's hope, something to strive for, even in the face of all else.

8. What would you like to see in this Season of - Needs Heroes!? Anything you wouldn't want to happen?
I'd like to see teamwork. I think that's at the core of superheroing, and something the show should help us with. Live together, work together, suceed together. So I hope I like my teammates. I'd hate to end up working with a bunch of criminals, narcissists, nutjobs and headcases. Heh. But I think I'll be pretty safe on that account. You guys screen the applicants pretty well, right?

9. What would you say to those people that accuse you of being vigilantes, and say that the police and government should be the only ones that fight crime?
Once again, I can only stress teamwork. There's things that the police simply aren't equipped to handle, but heroes can't just go storming into situations without the proper understanding either. The governments and police need to work together to solve problems. Trust and teamwork will suceed where either one alone will fail.

10. If you had one wish what would it be for and why?
When I was young, I always wished for a normal life. No super powers. My parents would be at home, and I'd be just another kid, instead of a beanpole freak. But I suppose thats kind of selfish. The world needs heroes to stand against the villains. Now I don't know what I'd wish for.

11. Who is someone that inspires you? Who is your personal hero?
My dad. I mean, yeah, he's an actual hero, but he's also been a strong force in my life. He knows what it's like to grow up . . . with an emphasis on the up. His works keeps him away a lot, but he's there when he can be. And his wisdom has helped me a lot, even when he can't be there in person.[/sblock]

[sblock=Intro tape]

Flashy graphics sweep across the screen and a fanfare from a generic quiz show plays before the phrase

***Mister TV***

blazes across the screen

A picture appears of Lloyd Grossman "Now who would send in an audition tape like this?"

The video goes from Lloyd into a graphic of a keyhole which reveals Sherlock Holmes on the other side

"Its elementary Mr dear Lloyd Elementary" says Sherlock Holmes "as far as I've been able to deduce it has to be a certain Mr TV"

"Yes its me kids! and ladies and gentlemen of course" says the shape of a human in a green and purple diamond lycra outfit with rectangular black glasses on acting as a mask and black boots
"and you want to know why I should be in this show in the house well let me tell you!" Mr TV is smiling all the time with a toothy hollywood grin.

Which transforms into The Mask's familiar green face but as a cartoon version
"Because I like to P.A.R.T Why? because I gotta!"

the catoon mask morphs into Robocop
"Because somewhere there is a crime being commited"
Robocop fires off a round or two and a scream is heard off screen.

Robocop morphs in David Dickinson
"Because he's cheap as chips"
Camera pans out and in again Mr TV is facing the other way to what David Dickinson was and says "hey!" with a look of fake hurtness on his face.

I know what your viewers really want thats right TV and who has it all me?! *Mr TV's real face morphs into several reconisable faces in a few seconds including Jerry Springer, Tony the Tiger, Ann Robinson and Jack Baueur*
"Whatever you need whenever you need it, all of your telly all of the time you won't need another channel when I'm around!"

*Mr TV morphs into porky pig saying thathathahtha thatssss all folks*

[sblock=who those people are]
  1. Lloyd grossman is from the TV program through the keyhole
  2. Sherlock Holmes there has been loads of TV dramatizations of him
  3. The Mask was a kids TV cartoon after the famous film

  5. David Dickinson is first from a program called bargain hunt where contestants had to find antiques to sell at auction for a profit his catchphrase was "cheap as chips"
  6. Ann Robinson is from the weakest link a harsh mistress of a quizmaster who makes contestants take the walk of shame when they get voted out

[/sblock]

Apologies for the overly long generic backstory ;)

[sblock=backstory]
Terrence was son of a little known English Superhero duo of mutants Mr V and Scarlett who were also a couple in real life.

Mum and Dad loved Terrence very much, so much that they continued fighting crime to make the world a better place for their little one to grow up in.
Unfortunately Crime and Disasters don't keep a regular schedule and his parents day jobs couldn't afford a 24 hour a day Nanny, so the Television would have to do.
And what did Terrence love to watch? superheroes be they in documentaries, cartoons or movies.
But one day at the age of 11 Mum and Dad didn't come back leaving Terrence on his own and put into care of the government while they tried to find him a new home.
This was when his powers hit

Shapechanging powers! a power that lends itself to pranks and hoaxs that troubled teenage boys are prone to.

This made Terrence difficult to find a home for, he would pull pranks like hiding as a lamp in his room when potential foster parents visited or even when he was adopted once or twice the pranks he would pull would ended up with him being dumped back at the foster home.

His only constant companion in these times was a hard women the name of Mary who was the cook at the adoption home he lived at for most of his teenage years.

Terrence's pranks had other consequences he shifted schools many times but this did lead to one good thing he got the oppurtunity to practice at making friends quick and he did this over and over again with new kids from his latest school or the newest additions to his home at the orphanage.

But still over all these years the TV was always there for him and his impersonations of TV characters were always his most popular, over the years he lost any ability to change into anything which wasn't Television, his actual outward confident character being an act itself.

At the age of 16 Terrence received an average bunch of GCSE results (for a bright boy like him anyhow) and proceeded into A-Levels (average again) and then University taking a course in media studies focusing on what else but Televisual studies resulting in him just scraping a Third.

After that he managed to go through a bunch of jobs in television starting off as a tea boy helping out with cameras and props for a number of different companies, during this time he decided to do something with his powers other than scoring cheap dates with girls he started a number of minor viligilante acts scaring off punks at the local parks by turning into pro wrestlers, because they had annoyed him, turning into Buffy (aka Sarah Michelle Geller) coming on to a lad and then turning him down because he was "asking for it".

He also saw the advantages in his powers and as his job had taken him to London he thrived on turning into TV celebrities to get free access to glitzy events but this is where it landed him in trouble one night after changing into the latest winner of the last celebrity reality TV show to get into a swanky up market club for free the actual guest was present, the door staff had collared Terrence before he could make his escape and the old bill were called (old bill = police).

A few hours of grilling from a police detective who had been making a list of these suprising celebrity appearances (not all of them spotted correctly, mind) and the big boys were called in MI6's super power division Super Power Investigations SPI (pronounced spy, see what I did there :p ) for short, Terrence was young, and is reasonably gullible the agents hyped up his crimes and coerced him into working for their agency.

A few years later and they gave up on him citing his unpredictability, excessive showmanship and inability to keep quiet as reasons why he wasn't suited for them, over the years they had assigned him to various shrinks and doctors to try and figure out why he could no longer transform into anything he liked, especially other heroes but the results were for naught.

Freshly unemployed and looking for something new Terrence Vance tried a number of "heroic" endeavors both solo and as a team (under a variety aliases, broadcast and Telly addict being two of them) but they didn't really work then he hears about a TV show looking for supes, someone up there must be smiling on him he thought as he grabbed a mates cam corder and started work on his audition tape.
[/sblock]

[sblock=more Stuff on Terrence's inner workings and life]
Can Terrence have a secret benefactor a behinds the scene one who has been watching out for him/had people watching out for him throughout his life and made sure things didn't go really badly for him, so staying out of jail stopping the odd retaliation, I'm thinking he could be a friend of the parents or even his parents arch nemesis or the government, and is just as likely to be wanting something from Terrence as he is to help him?

Oh yeah I hope creating SPI is Ok ;)

Terrence is *$&"ed in the head his whole life is one continuous act even when hes not in costume or shapechanged, the death of his parents has really effected him but he won't admit it. His shapechanging limits are because of his subconcious association of superheroes being linked with death, though his natural moral compass he inherited from his parents has lead him to several occurences of heroism which he has disguised from himself with explantions of they earned it or he pissed me off, the TV show is yet another example he says he's doing it for fame and glory and for being on TV but its really so he can try and help more people.

Maxwell Freedman, AKA Dord

Dord, PL 6 [100 PP]
"What do you mean it's not funny if I explain it?"

[SBLOCK=Info]Real Name:Maxwell Freedman
Identity: Dord
Occupation: Student
Marital Status: Single
Age: 19
Height: 1' / 5'8" / 32'
Weight: 180 lbs
Hair: Short, brown, mussed
Eyes: Brown
Nationality: American
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Place of BirthSalt Lake City, Utah

Group Affiliations: Salton Stars
Allegiance(s) UCLA

First Appearance: Salton City Needs Heroes! - 'rejects' special

History: Max was a hyper-active nerd with an over-active sense of curiosity. Between climbing too high on trees, wandering abandoned mines, and asking bullies innocent-but-insulting questions ("Is having such a thick forehead an evolutionary advantage, do you think?"), it's rather amazing Max made it to adulthood more or less in one piece.

During a backpacking trip after finishing high school, Max tried a rare hallucinagen from the Amazon. He swore it let him 'reach out and tug the strings of fate.' Whether or not that's what started it, all we know is that Max was subsequently kidnapped to be human sacrifice for a demon-worshipping cult. Then, when the experimental AI of a government satellite chose to sacrifice itself by intercepting a radiocative meteorite, the flaming remnants crash-landed in the crop-circle where the cult had gathered. So, instead of being the human sacrifice, Max was its sole survivor. Oh, and he got super-powers.

Who knew a summer backpacking in Europe could be so eventful?[/sblock]

[sblock=Powers]Max has the ability to contract or expand the space between the molecules of his body, changing his size. When he shrinks down, his increased density toughens him up, and the energy of his constrained molecules in his tiny body super-charges him. Aside from the high of it, he's also learned to harness that energy to propel himself with great force. When mini-maxed, he has a tendency to careen through the scene as a frenetic 'human pinball.'

He can also expand his structure, growing significantly. Realizing the potential of this 'ballooned' form, Max fashioned himself a gliding cape rig, which allows him to glide or drift downward thanks to his (and thus the cape's) expanded volume without increased weight.[/sblock]

[sblock=Audition tape interview]Maxwell Freedman, unaired audition interview. Open auditions at Mall of the Millenium

Max walks past the camera. The sound of muffled talking. He wanders back to the camera, points to the chair placed there for auditioners.

Oh! This chair! See, there were other chairs over there, so I just thought, it can't be this one that's so close and ... oh, yeah, there is a big camera in front of it. Heh. Should have noticed that, huh?

blushes, then composes self.

Okay. Hit me.

1. Ooh, my energy! Not just that crazy hyper-charge I get when I shrink, but really, I'm just always on the go. How can I not change the world with that much pep, right?

2. Sometimes I have nightmares that I can't un-shrink. Or ... these are private, right? I ... well, one time the nightmare was that only a ... certain part of me was stuck mini-sized. Man, I can't believe I told you guys that! Cameras in the face are like truth serum or something.

3. Well, since I don't know how a guy lives without a planet, I guess you gotta go with 'save the world,' right?

4. I can't shrink other folks. I kinda think being that small really changes your perspective. Maybe if I could do that, folks would figure out how small we all are, really. Woah, that was way too hippie-talk. I swear I only had that one trip...

5. Two words: hyper. active. Man, my folks had a handful with me. Always running around, getting myself scraped up. I don't think I got far enough past 'ooh, shiny!' most of the time to really think about being a hero. Well, except that one time I tried to fly off the roof. The three broken bones cured me of that one.

6. Hey, if the people at home don't have HD, I might not appear on TV! Oh, man, that was a good one... 'cause I shrink, and you'd have to have HD to see me when I'm small ... okay, maybe it's only funny to me.

7. Aw, there's always hope for the world. The future? Man, I haven't thought about it much. Guess I'm still a little like that kid my parents barely got out of the house alive. Flying cars! Yes. Flying cars in the future. And hover rocking chairs for old folks like me.

8. This season I'm hoping for a really rocking secret HQ. And road trips! Love the road trips. No forced day jobs though; that was such a snore season ... I mean, that was less interesting than the other super compelling seasons. So, it was only normally compelling ... crud

9. I'd say I'd hate for the cops to have to tussle with indestructible flying guys who can throw cars. Yoinks. If there weren't anarchs, I'd be all for archons living normal lives. But that's not how it is, you know?

10. Ooh, you missed giving the 'no wishing for more wishes' clause. Totally wishing for more wishes, 'cause then I wouldn't go into meltdown trying to pick one thing.

11. Speedy Gonzales. Only guy I know who has more energy than me. Plus, he's tiny, too![/sblock]
