Updated.

Suggested duration for suppresed planar travel and flight (or stick with until spine is removed, and give details on how a nightmare can do that)?

I think DC 20 should suffice, since most nightmares won't have the skill. They may need to rely on their rider, and most evil guys don't bother taking the skill either.

Updated.

Let's let the shoulder blades act like lances, ie double damage on charging. The bite option should be something like a rend, on a critical only, although it can make hoof attacks normally.

Agreed to all that. I think we had a bite version of a rend recently, too. Maybe in the prehistoric thread?

I believe it was this...

Maul (Ex): A mara that hits an opponent with both claw attacks immediately hits with its subsequent bite attack.

How's this?

Impaling Maul (Ex): A sohmien that hits an opponent with its gore attack immediately hits with its subsequent bite attack.

Powerful Charge (Ex): When a sohmien charges, its gore attack deals 2d8+8points of damage.
