Javlix smashes his large sword into Caliban's head cleaving it in two.

The twisted remains of your former mentor break into pieces, leaving only his torn chainmail, the bloody rapier, and his amulet held by a dark iron chain, engraved with a web pattern.

In the moment of silence afterward, your adrenaline slowly ebbs away leaving you feeling sore and tired.
You hear a voice call from the choked cavern beyond. "Follow me boys, welcome to your new existence as servants of House Godeep"

OOC: Javlix CRIT. (although the illusion would have killed it too)

Never the best student, Drisdhaun racks his brain to remember any information he might have picked up about House Godeep (History=15)

Breathing hard he looks at the rest of the group and motions with his fingers "House Godeep, anyone know anything about it?" He then kneels next to Vorgrym and checks his condition, sword poised for a coup de grace if Vorgrym shows any signs of turning.

"Yes, yes, of course," Rantyr says, with some irritation in his voice. He begins to relate what he knows about the House.

OOC: History 24. Will retcon if necessary if Rantyr knows nothing despite the check.

Vorgryms eyes open, hesitantly. Seeing Drisdhaun poised over him, the drow flinches in a scarce moment of weakness. Vowing to fight better in the next conflict, the warrior rolls to his feet and gathers his breath.

History:
Godeep is the least of the seven great houses in the Vault. It is allied with two other weak great houses the Noquar and the Kilsek. 20-30 years ago the three houses were allied with the mighty first house, Despana but were betrayed. The alliance also works against the Tormenter & Everhate houses, due to more ancient grudges.

Arcane:
The Godeep clan has a strong male mage consort – the Bloodmage Ryld, who has ruthlessly suppressed the other wizards of his house. He is not the strongest mage in the city, but ambitious, and confident of the backing of his house. Your not sure if that was Ryld's voice.

Insight: + Arcane
That was not the formal binding of a thrall to a house. You think that the new servants are bound directly only to the male ritualist, not to house Godeep.

Vorgrym, blades still drawn, whispers "Find the magic gear," nodding to the undead body of Caliban. He then walks to the opening in the rubble. "Who are you?" he sneers to the speaker.
