Echoes of Thunder

The PHB2 has a bunch of feats to the effect of "When you hit with X, gain Y benefit until the end of your next turn." I mostly dismissed them as too situational, but it looks like Echoes of Thunder is actually quite nice.

"When you hit with any thunder attack power, you gain a +1 bonus to damage rolls until the end of your next turn. The bonus increases to +2 at 11th level and +3 at 21st level."

It triggers when you hit and then applies to damage rolls, so it looks like it would apply to the damage roll of the attack that triggered it -- you hit before you roll damage.

So it's like Raging Storm except only Thunder and not Thunder + Lightning, but:
1) No prerequisites
2) Untyped damage bonus, so it can stack with other damage feats
3) The damage bonus applies to all attacks until the end of your next turn

From the name, and based on similar PHB2 feats, I'm not sure the extra damage was intended to apply to the triggering attack. Is there any reason it wouldn't, though, based on the wording?
