Bloody Magic

First Post
So I was playing around with the recently updated Char Builder, and I noticed an interesting feat: Curse of Io's Blood. In short, it lets Dragonborn add their Str mod to Curse damage, while bloodied.

Now, Warlocks don't get much from Str or from being Bloodied, but Dragonborn certainly do. That +1 to attack is juicy. Who else gets a tons of benefits from being Bloodied, Dragonborn, and Strength? Sorcerers!

So, I started to think of a good Sorc build that went completely nuts when Bloodied. It's quite easy to pull it off, too! You can have a Dragonborn Sorc 2, with Student of Malediction and Curse of Io's Blood, and a Pact Dagger +1. (for an extra curse per encounter, get a Quickcurse Rod too).

So, combat starts, and eventually you're near bloodied. When an enemy you have cursed hits you and drops you to bloodied, use Dragonfire Mantle, and add your Curse damage.
The poor fella now takes (as an Immediate action):

  • 1 (Pact Blade)
  • 1d6 + Str (Dragonflame Mantle)
  • 1d6 + 1 + Str (Curse)
And you gain for the rest of the encounter:

  • +2 to AC (Scales of the Dragon)
  • +1 to AC on top of that for this round (Dragonflame Mantle)
  • +1 to hit (Dragonborn Fury).

Now, I'm thinking: Would it be worth it to build a Sorc that goes completely nuts when Bloodied?
There are some interesting ways to improve it:

  • A cloth armor that gives you another +2 to AC when bloodied
  • A feat that gives you a +1 to NADs when bloodied
  • Another feat for +2 damage when bloodied
  • etc.
