I've recently been thinking of ways to distinguish the power sources a little bit through how their daily powers recharge. Here are some ideas:
Martial Exploits - These depend on the situation being set up perfectly for their use. This situation comes up roughly every 3 encounters.
* After an encounter, roll 1d6 for each expended daily power: that power recharges on a 5 or 6
Divine Prayers - The gods encourage some amount of self-reliance, and will only allow the same daily power every 3 encounters.
* After using a daily power, you can't use it again for 3 encounters
Arcane Spells - Casting daily spells taxes the body, and an arcane character must rest to recharge daily powers (requires an average of 3 encounters in between extended rests, which I aim for as a DM)
* Daily powers recharge after an extended rest
Has anyone done anything similar?
