Let's see, it's got 4 more HD than a 2e iron golem, 1 die better damage, 4 better THAC0, and much better AC (-6 vs. 3).

So I'm thinking...

3d10 damage (vs. the iron's 2d10)
+3 better Str modifier than iron (which is Str 33)
+30 natural armor (8 higher than iron, equivalent to adamantine golem, but not as good as ironwyrm)

Str 39, Dex 9, Con —, Int —, Wis 11, Cha 1

Look OK?

I think I'd rather leave the Strength the same as an Iron Golem increase the Dexterity instead, since they're speedy and all. Especially as they're as fast (9") as an armoured man and speedier than a 2E Iron Golem.

Even better, give it a higher Str and Dex.

Maybe +4 apiece relative to old ironsides?

Str 37, Dex 13, Con —, Int —, Wis 11, Cha 1

Those stats sound good.

I'm wondering if it should be Huge...

Through the door is a tremendous statue standing on a pedestal of stone.

The diamond golem is one of Zagig’s final creations, a behemoth he manufactured to protect his most valuable treasures.

That would also explain the massive damage it deals.

Do we want to stick with the 90% spell resistance, or switch to the more common immunity to magic?

 Huge sounds good.

It's a golem, so I'm tempted to go with Immunity to Magic. But I'd want to come up with some fun exceptions.

It's looking pretty good, but it's slightly low on special abilities compared to other golems. Should it get anything else, or is the size enough?
