    Origins Awards 2009 Winners

Since there's no news update until Monday, I thought you guys would be interested in this (and yes, also because I'm self-promoting):
Origins Awards 2009 | Critical Hits

Of particular note, D&D 4e Player's Handbook lost to the Mouse Guard RPG.

Anyone have any experience with Mouseguard? I hadn't heard of it before.

The Pandemic players will be happy as it won for board games.

It is done through voting of people who goto Origins and Wizards really has no presence there anymore.

Mousguard is based on the graphic novel of the same name. It uses a lite Burning Wheel system.

Thanks to everyone at Origins who voted for Worlds of D&D in the fiction category, and to all the writers and artists who worked on the book!

    Cheers,
    James Lowder

An RPG based on a light version of the "Burning Wheel"-system, which was the "ancestor" of the "Burning Empires" system.

Wow, there's a Highlander Card Game?

    Color me amazed.

Interesting to see how many things totally unknown to me were nominated.
