Beyrk follows the others up the gangplank to the Bloody Wake. He heads over the Captain Azrael to introduce himself, "Ahoy Captain Azrael. I'm Beyrk Verkunder, friend of Quagmire's, you can call me Mutt though. I worked with him back a ways as crew on a ship, though not one quite as fine as yer's. Good at most any general ship duties, but best as fog horn." Mutt laughs a deep booming chuckle from within his very wide girth.
ooc: still waiting on a second approval for Beyrk.

"All aboard, all aboard!" Captain Azrael bellows from the gangplank as the adventurers come down the dock from Daunton. "Ye know yer places and functions by now. Hey now, it's Dang't! Where ya been, ya crazy little gob? I ain't seen ya since that night I got drunk and crossed that tiefling Redblade over the card table. In fact, the last thing I remember of you was Redblade's thugs escorting you out of the place after one of your 'little storms' spilled all the drinks all over the cards! I was sad to see ya missing when I rounded up the crew to take back the ship and set sail once more. But enough o' that dross. Yer back now and that be what counts!"
"Welcome back, Hrav. And brought a friend eh? Beyrk ya say, but call ya Mutt? Easy enough, Mutt. Welcome aboard the Bloody Wake, finest sailing ship in the near isles. Jus' follow Hrav there and he'll show ye around. Ye can find a place ta work as we go. Jus' do whatever ya see that be needin' done and we'll figure it out from there."
"Quagmire, Alex and Girth best be hurryin' up. We gotta go right quick. I managed to offload most of the cargo we chased all around the isles for to a friendly merchant here in port. He's gonna see about sellin' it all between now and our return. It'll cut inta the profits just a bit, but we can trust him to be honest about it. I've sold cargo through him many times a'fore. Figured we might need the cargo hold as empty as possible to take all we can of Redblade's Riches!" Azrael says with a wide grin. "Anyway, he'll have payment ready next time we're back in port here. Is that our last three comin' down the dock now? We gotta be settin' out ta sea... say, is all that smoke from a fire? Daunton burning now or what?" Azrael mutters to himself as he waits impatiently.
OOC: I'm sure everyone has seen the thread here. I just figured a quick IC checking in would be best to kick things off and get going. Especially since we have a couple new crew members. We'll hit the waves as soon as that is done. You don't have to wait for approval to check in here either. We can get going and let the approvals catch up to the crew later.
OOC2: Erekose, how do you pronounce Beyrk? Is is 'Bear-ik' or 'Bey-rik' or something else? Not that it matters much since he goes by Mutt which I'm pretty sure I am pronouncing correctly, but I thought I'd ask so I can say it right in my own head. Still not as bad as the dog my dad had once named "Phydeux" and pronounced "Fido"!
OOC3: Also, all previous crew members check out the end posts of the Captain's Caper thread for the additional 142 gp and 5 sp each that Covaithe is responsible for finding in the couch cushions of the adventure. My apologies for not going back through to double check. Not trying to cheat anybody out of stuff.

"Drinkin'? Not too much, no. I know that yer Quagmire and he's Hrav, I just got confused as to who was Mutt's friend. Okay, maybe I had one too many drinks to celebrate our victorious return. But my head'll clear once we've got the wind in our faces once more, be sure." Azrael says with a nod.

"Clear as it ever was, I guess," Quagmire mutters to Beryk, after Azrael leaves. "Ah, well, he's hired us, and this Redblade ain't no saint. I just hope Hrav's old man don't show up again. That could get... awkward."

"Will do Captn." replies Beyrk as he heads off to find something to do. An experienced deck hand, he'll find lots to keep busy with. He chuckles a bit at Quagmire's quip, "Seems Captains across all the Transitive Seas are the same."
ooc: Bear-ik would be the way it was intended, but the way he pronounces it, it comes out as Bark. That would be where he got the nick-name from.

An indistinct figure ambled slowly down the dock, cursing volubly. As the figure approached, it turned out to be Girth although his person was somehow subtly obscured from sight. He was fiddling with some kind of cord wound through his fingers and every now and then a 'clack' was heard as something hard hit the wood of the jetty.
"Not simple is this! Words with that merchant I should be having! Ach! Not again!" he cursed as yet another stone hit the deck."
He ceased his fiddling as he came up the gangway and put away what could now be seen was a sling.
"Friendly felicitations to friends" he smiled as he approached. "Welcome drinks we should be having. To toast our new venture."
He bowed to Captain Azrael "Your permission I will have, to be checking my calculations." He nodded towards the stem of the ship where his carvings and stainings still marked the deck. "New work I must do to include dragon lady and Redblade creature."
For a normally dour individual he seemed almost happy to be setting out again.
