Forked from: Running player commentary on PCat's 4E Campaign
I forked this to a separate thread to add a "I totally agree," in the hopes that people who may not read the Running player commentary thread will see this. I've spent a little time playing around with Hexographer, the free mapping program from Inkwell Ideas, and it seems really awesome. I wish I'd had it when I started my current campaign-- I'll definitely be using it for my next one.
Also, there are a bunch of other world design resources (including a heraldry generator and a city map generator) linked to from the same website that also seem really useful and neat, although I haven't given them a whirl yet.
It also nicely works on Macs as well as PCs.
Thanks for linking to this PCat-it's a great resource.
