War of Honor - Honor Harrington - WooHoo!

What? Me Worry?
I've read a few Honor Harrington novels by David Weber, and I'm hooked. I've been reading them slowly, just to make sure I don't run out of books before I run out of enthusiasm. I love space opera like this. I know there are critics of the genre, and of the Honor series, but I can't get enough.

What's cool is that the new book by Weber, War of Honor, comes with a bound-in CD-ROM that has all ten Honor books by Weber, plus a bunch by the "friends of Honor." I looked at a copy in the store, and on the CD-ROM it said that you are free to copy and share the files on the disc, but, of course, you can't sell them. Very cool stuff. I have mine on order, and I can't wait.

I hope to see an Honor RPG at some point, and certainly a starship combat game. There have been fan conversions for games like Full Thrust, but it'd be cool to see an "official" game.

These links will help explain them better than I can - the first is some sample pages, the second is an overview of the CD-ROM I mentioned, the third is Baen's free online library, where you can download some of Weber's books, such as On Basilisk Station (the first Honor book) and Honor of the Queen, the fourth is the list of Honor Harrington books, and the fifth is an essay by Weber called "Who is Honor Harrington?"
