It's currently limited to waiting an hour after each detonation before doing so again. Would x/day be preferable?

3/day, say, would be a little more standard. But I'm ok with waiting an hour as a recharge time.

I prefer the 1 hour recharge time.

    Updated.

Do we want to alter the skills and feats at all? Currently, they are carried over from the wraith.

Does the alignment still fit? Suicide seems more chaotic to me than lawful.

Let's go CE. Feats look ok, but I'm not sure about Diplomacy. Maybe Bluff instead.

I agree on the alignment, and I'd probably change it to "Usually chaotic evil".

Bluff probably makes more sense - they're not trying to make friends with people, just fool their victims for the few rounds it takes for them to do something stupid enough to kill them.

Feats are okay, I'm agreed on CE and switching to Bluff.

And I like the hourly recharge on the detonation.

    Updated.

Feel free to expand upon the flavor text.

CR 6-7? They are essentially wraiths with far greater offensive capabilities.

I'll say Challenge Rating 6. They're definitely nastier than a wraith, but I don't think they are two CR nastier.

Since we've changed them to CE we should switch them from speaking Infernal to Abyssal.

  • #110
Agreed to CR 6. We should include flavor text about how they seek the afterlife denied by them by creating a replacement, inciting a cycle of violence that can depopulate entire villages.
