In the Army now

I know I'm not as regular a poster here as I once was, but I still check ENWorld almost every day and I've met a lot of you at Gen Con over the years. I'd like to think I am remembered by a lot of the regulars even if I'm not seen around as much as I used to be.

I thought I should let anybody who remembers me know that I'll be gone from ENWorld (and the net in general) for most of next year.

I'm reporting in for Basic Training in one week. I've enlisted in the Army National Guard and will be gone for about seven months between Basic and AIT, so don't expect to see any posts from me from about next Sunday through sometime in early July (assuming no delays or setbacks).

Speaking as an Army Brat with a whole bunch of relatives in active service and retired, congrats may or may not be in order...

But you definitely deserve a hearty "Thank You!"

Its a rare person who can elevate service to country above service to self.

I wish that you meet all of the goals you set for yourself in the armed forces.

Awww. I'm slightly dissappointed, I thought this was a thread about the Pauly Shore movie. I love Pauly Shore.
