SpuneDagr Explorer Oct 8, 2002 #2 Just use the stats for a rust monster and have it eat wood. It's your game and you can change things however you want. All my trolls are weak against cold and sonic damage instead of fire and acid. I didn't need to change anything else to get my PCs to fear them.

XCorvis First Post Oct 8, 2002 #5 Dang it, I just re-read it an noticed. Most slimes/oozes eat organics, some also eat metals. You're sure to find something there. Don't forget about the classic green slime, which is listed as a hazard in the DMG. Very nasty, very old-school.
